I look at Kadzait, and I remember being rude for not taking care of him... I pad towards Kadzait.
"Uum, sorry for being rude a while ago... I was trying to find Ken'ichi..."
"No worries, pal."
"Great to have you back! Feeling any better?"
I notice Sila is looking at Ken'ichi's crystal as there's something wrong with it. Ken'ichi asks Sila if there is anything wrong... I look at Sila, awaiting for her reply...

"Uhm...no, of course not," I reply, straying my eyes from his crystal. Okay, so I want to know how he got it. "What's with the crystal?" I ask calmly, as if I couldn't really care less about it, even though my mind is screaming 'C'mon! Tell me!'.

I flick my crystal as Sila asks me about it, at first I used to get so mad at Sila's attitude and comments when we first met, but it seemed to have gone under control as the time passed and I'm not feeling mad anymore. I hold out the crystal for Sila to see it more clearly, she'll notice the carving inside the crystal more quickly as I hold it out.
"This crystal is the only thing I have of my family, the only thing that reminds me of them everytime I look at it. My brother gave it to me when I was younger, it symbolizes his love as a brother to me. I promised him I would keep it with me for as long as I live, and I tend to keep that promise." I release the crystal to have it dangle around my neck again, but as it dangles the sun's rays hit it and it's light reflect in a rainbow effect, "Pretty neat huh?"

I listen as Ken'ichi explains. I smile as Ken'ichi lets the crystal dangling. It's the crystal that brings us together as brothers...
I pad and sit beside Ken'ichi. I think about all the things that happenned. The day my brother was killed. The day I found this salmon run. The day I met Kenai and his little brother Koda. The day I met Ken'ichi... when my thought is interrupted by... water?!
"Whooooaa!" *SPLASH*
Ken'ichi...
I surface and give Ken'ichi a playful look.
"Hm... Got ya!"
I splash some water and indeed Ken'ichi gets wet from the splashing.

OOC: Great to see you back, Ken’ichi! I listened to the dark voice of the wolf before me, from the very beginning struck with the significance of the trust he was giving us. Here was risk. Kadzait was hazarding his future because he believed that we would use the truth to strengthen our friendship, rather than turn it against him. His story stirs up a mixture of conflicting emotions. I allow myself a faint grin when Sila stammers out her reaction; she evidently has some confusion of her own to work out.
“Your pack was cursed, Kadzait,” I remark quietly when Sila turns to look at the new arrivals, “The day they let their fear of what they could not understand become more powerful than their sense of compassion, they lost a loyal, exceptional friend.”

Unfortunately, Ken'ichi isn't the only one to catch Nikiski's splash. Bear's are not always aware of their own strength. I yelp in surprise as I'm half drenched by the small wave. Bounding back out of range I mutter something about hunting up some squirrels, and grin a farewell to the general company.

I lower my head so I can see the detail that's vague when not close, and notice that it's of an older bear playing with a younger bear. Huh. I wonder how it got there.
"Yeah, very neat," I reply without sounding too sappy. That's really sweet. But I don't say that. A new thought comes across my mind though...a legacy of sorts? I've never heard of it before, but it's an interesting idea. Of course, him and Nikiski begin a splashing war of sorts, so the matter seems to be dropped for the moment.
My ears pick up Talist's quiet reply to Kadzait, and I feel a mix of relief and...annoyance? Relief because Talist probably took care of it all. Yeah. She took care of it...oh yes, she's probably bound to be a much better friend than I ever could hope to be. Not her fault of course...gah...I hate being bitter. Why couldn't I have thought of something like that? Oh, I probably could have tried...except that would have been lying for me. And I don't lie.
Oh...wait...she's wet. And now she's leaving. Huh. I finally manage to stop blinking cluelessly, and ask, actually quite friendily for the mood I'm in, "Where're you going?"

I see Ken'ichi getting wet... or wait... Talist's wet too? I apologize as I walk ashore...
"Eer, sorry Talist, I didn't mean to-" *SPLASH*
Ken'ichi tackles me again and I fall into the river again...
"Ken'ichi, I-" *WATER IN MY MOUTH*
Ken'ichi splashes some water at me while I was talking.
"Okay okay, you win you win!"
I walk ashore, shaking my fur dry.

OOC: I would have posted earlier, but since my computer has a sick sense of humor, It sadistically takes gratification from making me suffer. I haven’t been able to get online since Friday of last week, and still it seems to be on the verge of happening again. I was only able to get online today for a short while, still having to struggle with my computer. Anyway, here’s a hearty “welcome back from your trip!” for the return of Kadzait, Ken’ichi, and Kenai#2 (Who may be joining the roleplay soon.).
Still OOC: Since I’m still asleep, I guess I can have that dream Ken’ichi asked us to have. My character sleeps too much. There are too many identical traits between me and my character. Too many!
BIC: As I was sleeping, I began to have a dream. I was high on a mountain that was covered with snow. I notice a light is shining behind me. I turn around to see a bear with an aura glowing around him. “Who are you?" He only beckons for me to follow him. I follow him into a cave and find a family of four bears sleeping in the cave. Two adult bears, a mother, a father and two young cubs. I noticed that one of them resembled the bear that was guiding me, and the other was Ken’ichi! “Are you his brother?” He doesn’t reply. A noise is heard outside the cave. The mother wakes up to go and inspect the noise. She doesn’t notice me, she must not be able to see me. Ken’ichi is awake waiting for his mother to return. But she doesn’t come back. I walk out of the cave to see if I can find her but can’t see her anywhere. The guide is right beside me. “Where is she? What happened to Ken’ichi’s mom?” I ask. The guide puts his paw on my shoulder and were whisked to a human village. I find Ken’ichi crying. “Why is-…?” I get closer to see that his mother was killed. “Oh no! no,no,no! It can’t be!” I look down and close my eyes with an expression of anguish. Feeling sorrow in my heart. The guide puts his paw on my shoulder again and were whisked to another location in the forest. I see Ken’ichi playing with his brother. They were having fun, until some hunters came and attacked. I tried to attack the hunters but my paw swipes only passed through them. I roared out loud “LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!” But my attempts were futile. This was inevitable. I could only look on as Ken’ichi’s brother told him to run to a cave and hide. As the hunters killed his brother and dragged him away. I felt useless as I watched, unable to help. The guide comes to me again and takes me to another part on the mountain. Ken’ichi is with his father, when more hunters came to attack. The battle left a horrible gash that would be his scar that he has. Left for dead. The hunters take the last remaining family he has left. I was filled with despair and hate. “How can the humans be so heartless. Their only intention is destroy everything in their path. Now Ken'ichi has no one. Its hopeless.” The guide puts his paw on my shoulder and shakes his head. His aura begins to glow bright and then I see the recent events of our journey after we first met Ken’ichi. I see the times we had fun, fished, laughed and shared stories. He showed me when Ken’ichi and Nikiski saw their family again. They were so happy and proud of him. Then Nikiski had become his brother. As the memories ended I find that Ken’ichi appears with a crystal and calls out his to his brother.”Kamali.” The guide, I mean Kamali walks over to Ken’ichi and takes his crystal and makes it glow, carving something into it and making it a necklace. He gives the crystal back to ken’ichi and everything begins to get hazy. Then I wake up with tears in my eyes. “Huh? It was just a dream.” I look at my brother and see that he’s okay. I smile and look at the sky. “I guess Ken’ichi will be okay now that he has friends. We can always count on our friends.”

OOC: Welcome backs, Ken'ichi!
BIC: Sila looks a bit uncomfortable at first, and I felt she was unsure about the whole human mix up I got myself into. After all, that was highly uncommon. However, she accepted it. Talist as well, accepted my story, blaming my pack for their own curse, not on me. I smile, glad I have found such good friends in these wolves. I see both Ken'ichi and Nikiski running back down towards us, and Ken'ichi jumps in the water, giving us all a splash! He hops out and I notice that both he and Nikiski have a crystal thing dangling around their necks. I am curious, and Ken'ichi shows his to Sila. I wave to my little cub friend.
"Hi Ken'ichi! How've ya been since I was away?" I grin. Nikiski apologizes for not staying around earlier, and I shrug.
"No worries, pal!" Talist mumbles something about chasing squirrels, and my ears perk. I hop up and pad over to her as she is padding away.
"You like to chase squirrels too?" I ask excitedly, hoping about. It seems my strength has returned to me upon the speaking of one of my favorite pasttimes, and I grin. "Mind if I join?"

OOC: Thanks for remembering about the dream Truttle.
BIC: As I finish telling about my crystal to Sila, Niki sits besides me. I grin and push Niki back into the water. He surfaces, giving me a look. He splashes water on me, I should've seen that coming. Although, Niki accidentaly splashed Talist too, so he got out of the water and apologized. I shake my fur dry and wasn't about to let my brother get off the hook that easily, so I tackled Niki again into the water. He resurfaces and was about to tell me something, but I splashed water on him, not letting him talk. He gives in, and I laugh. As my brother gets out of the water, shaking his fur again, I turn to Kadzait to say something.
"Hey Kadzait, where did-"
But he's padding away along with Talist. I sigh, "I guess I'll ask him later."

Ohhh. So they're off to chase squirrels. I notice Kadzait looks well again, and I am glad of this. But, I now am in a hard position. I kind of would like to join them, but I'm not sure if I should. I, after all, wasn't exactly the most supportive friend when Kadzait told his story...Talist was. Therefore, if I were to join them, I'd be...kinda just tagging along? Or something along those lines. Augh...I probably don't even make much sense. I don't even to myself. Bleck. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Very tense, I look around to see if there's a large rock. I've seen other animals before hit their head on a rock when they're upset...it looked stupid...but now it may be a nice habit to pick up.
Hmm...oooh, I have an idea. I'm so brilliant. Well...actually no, I'm not, but whatever. I get up and act as if I'm walking in the same direction as them, but then go somewhere else into the forest. Of course, it's nothing meant to be offensive. I just need some time to think...and to observe...hopefully without being noticed. I'm such an idiot.

As Talist and I walk along, looking for squirrels, I hear Sila padding close behind, then taking a different turn. I bite my tongue. How could I be so rude! I had simply left her there in my excitement of squirrel chasing, with no thought of inviting her along. I turn as I see her tail dissapearing into the bushes.
"Hey, Sila!" I call, "Want to join us?" I ask sincerely.

I sit there watching as the wolves goes off chasing squirrels or somthing. I look at Ken'ichi then at his crystal.
"Hey Ken'ichi, wanna hold out your crystal for one sec?"
I lower my body and hold out my crystal, to compare mine againt Ken'ichi's.
I look carefully at the carving, admiring and at the same time, confused by what that might mean. Now I'm asure that our crystal have the same carving. Exactly the same.
"Ken'ichi, the two carvings are the same in my crystal and yours..."
I hold mine closer to Ken'ichi so that he can see.
"You see? I wonder what it means..."
