Okay, I just found this from www.animated-news.comSeeing Double: Brother Bear sequel announced The New York Times has an article which discusses the Brother Bear DVD and its comedic commentary by moose brothers Rutt and Tuke but it also makes a passing reference to the fact that work is beginning soon on a Brother Bear 2. No word yet on if it will be a theatrical release or a direct-to-video title, although the latter option seems more likely. Free registration required to read article online. Thanks to Kristin for the heads up. I don't want to sound all awful, but I hoped they wouldn't do a sequel. Usually they are cheaper and crappier each time. I only like a select few, so HOPEFULLY they will do a good job on this one. Ooh, if I ever get my paws on Michael Eisner........ Anywho, good news to lots of you, I'm sure! If it goes to theaters, it will be better quality indeed. Maybe if they get the same people who worked on TLK 1 1/2 to work on it! YAYAY! that would be good. Loved that one! What do you guys think about this news?

I thin that's great! Prsonally, I like the sequals to Disney classics better than the original. They are more in this year, if you know what I mean. The classics were made a while ago and don't spike my interest that much. I ussual like the original better if it is made around this time. Anyway, I'm sure I'll love Brother Bear 2! Though I bet it won't be as good as the original.

That's...incredible...They're actually doing a brother bear 2? Not even 3 years after it's release? I really hope they know what their doing... If they screw this up, I'll be one of the first to mail them (mainly Eisner, if he's the one responsible) a hate letter.... If I become rich, I'll buy the first thing that comes to mind, the walt disney company, and prove that I may be able to lead the animators back into the traditional awe-inspiring movie ages... But it's not that easy, I know.... Man, I am happy that they are working on it, but...Well... I do hope to god they do a good job... If not, you'll see it in a crappy commercial like George of the Jungle 2, and you'll see it selling for 10 dollars...Otherwise, I will anticipate it's release...Thanks for the info...I think...

Wow! Best news I've heard all day! I really hope they make a good job in this sequel like they did with TLK2. I don't want it to become a bad sequel like some movies... I'll be anticipating the release of this movie!

Oh this is good news! Good news indeed!
On another note. I have a friend who knew about the Mckenzie's likeness in Rutt and Tuke and he showed me their Movie Strange Brew. An old movie with their characters getting in all sorts of dumb situations. But anyway, its not really important in this board.

But...what about Jason Raize?
It sounds fun...I've never really liked sequels, but they're fun to watch. I hope they do a good job on it though...

Sorry ^^;; ...I just couldn't see a sequel without the original voice actors...you know? (of course if they say, did a sequel thirty years after, that's different...)
