As the bears sit near the river, it is then I notice the large bears' scar doesn't look so good, and I guess that is why the bears were so worried. I fought the feeling of helping out, not wanting to have anything to do with anybody but myself, but the expression on the large bears' face was too much. Slowly, I surface in front of them.
"Hullo, there." I say, not too loud, so as not to startle them. Then, bringing myself to say it, I say: "I believe I could help out with that wound."

I scratch my head, I could've sworn something was following us, maybe it's my head playing tricks on me. I turn around to keep following the others, but just when I turn around, Koda splashes water on me. I shake my head dry and see Koda looking at me with a grin, I make a devious smile and prepare myself to return fire. Just before I could splash Koda back, and otter rises up from the water in front of us. He greets us and tells us he could help with Urctos' wound.
"Who are you?" I ask the otter.

OoC: AH! Sorry for the late reply and long post!
Urctos remained stiff as the larger brown bear named Kenai examined his wound. He seemed a bit intimadated. The black grizzly's expression gradually saddened as Kenai told him the news.
"Gee, I'm really sorry, Urctos, but I can't do anything for your wound..."
His eyes closed at the words and also a bit of pain beginning to seethe through the scar.
"...but I'm sure there's a bear somewhere down here who could help."
The eyes soon widened as if in great fear. Great, now more bears to worry about? But Urctos wasn't one to argue. With long strides, the bear once again lumbered behind in silence, nervousness once again gathering in his features. He glanced at his reflection once in a while only to be reminded of what he really was: the outcast of bear society.
"Don't worry, we'll find someone!" Koda smiled, then splashed water on the black bear cub. Urctos laughed softly at the young one's antics.
"Hullo there!" A quiet, through sprightly young voice came from the riverside. The group had turned to face an otter that had surfaced, Ken'ichi asking for his name. Urctos strode a little closer.
"You can help...?"

After I splashed Ken'ichi, an otter popped his head out, proclaiming he could help Urctos. I smiled. This was great! I called out to Kenai for him to come back and he did. I looked to the otter, waiting to hear what he would say.

As I lay in the water, bobbing up and down, the little black bear cub asks me who I am. I chuckle, how dumb of me to not even introduce myself!
"My name's Rebel," I say with a nod and a wave of my paw. Then, the large bear ask me if I can help. I nod to him, and pull myself out of the water. I didn't much like being out of the water, as I felt more free in the river, but I needed to concentrate.
"Yes, I believe I can. I know of some leave and herbs that may do that wound good. In time it shouldn't hurt as much, though it will leave a scar, I'm afraid." I laugh at myself, I sound like a little doctor or something. But I had learned my way alone in the world, and I had had my fair share of cuts and scratches. I nod again to the bear.
"I could go get some, if you'd like." I offer. I was surprised at my boldness, as I only cared to look after myself, and I wondered what had gotten into me to be helping someone else out. No matter.

He said to us his name is Rebel. I smiled at Rebel's offer to help out with Urctos' wound, proclaiming he knows of some leaves and herbs that'll help. Koda got excited and I saw Urctos shed a smile, even though not a big smile.
"Sure, we could even help you in finding the leaves and herbs you need." I said to Rebel, accepting his offer.
"I'm Ken'ichi"

The little black bear cub states his name as Ken'ichi. I nod.
"Good to meet you." He offers to help find the herbs, but I shake my head.
"Not to be rude or anything, but it would be a lot faster if I ran along and did it. It would only take a few minutes, I believe there are some in this area..." I think for a minute, "Yes, there are some. Be back in a jiffy." I proclaim, then I leap into the water, swimming upstream, very similar to the way a salmon does it. I hop out after a moment and get my bearings. Ah, perfect. I saw the bush right ahead of me, and I padded soggily over to it, plucking a few of the leafs from it. I slide back into the river on my back, holding the leaves errect above the water, and I let the river carry me back down to the bears. Upon arrival, I hop out again, the leaves in my paws.
"Here they are!" I state.

I didn't mind Rebel going to find the herbs by himself, it's true anyway, it'll be faster for him to find them since he knows where they are. Rebel swims off to find the leaves, which leaves me with a perfect chance to get back at Koda for splashing water on me. I slightly turned to Koda and splashed water on him, a lot more than he splashed at me. Koda shook his head dry and looked at me, I just grinned at him. And as quick as he left, Rebel returned with the leaves and herbs in paw.
"Wow, that was fast."

Urctos raised a paw to shield himself from flying water droplets as the two cubs began to frolick in the water. He blinked and shifted away from the river bank with cautious steps. A pile of various plants began to float towards them in a straight, swift path. Rebel had returned, holding the clump of herbs in his claws and emerging from the shallows.
"Here they are!" he grinned.
The bear hid in the shadow of Kenai. He wasn't a big fan of pain and wasn't sure if he could let other creatures touch his scar.

I walk over to the large bear with the herbs. I saw him turn away, and I could feel his pain. He didn't want the others to see him hurting. I whispered to him:
"Would you like me to help you, or would you like to do it yourself?" I didn't want him to think it would hurt or anything, but I knew it did. I lifted up my paw and showed him under my forearm.
"You see this scar here? I got that snagged on a sharp branch. But it healed nicely, thanks to these leaves. It was a tad painful, but it didn't last long." I hand him the leaves. "Here you go." I say.

As the otter goes to get the herbs, Ken'ichi splashes me with a ton of water, and I laugh as it hits my fur. Before I can splash him back, the otter reappears with the leaves in paw. He pads over to Urctos and whispers something to him. I see him lifting up his arm and showing Urctos a scar on his arm, and I wonder what it was from. Then he hands the leaves to Urctos, and we look to see what he'll do.

I see Rebel heading to Urctos and offers to put the herbs on his wound, but Urctos doesn't seem happy about it. I see Rebel showing a scar to Urctos from under his arm, then giving the herbs to Urctos. C'mon Urctos, let Rebel help.

Urctos frowned softly. He placed his paw on the wound again and cringed. Well, if anything would make the pain end for him, it would be worth it all the way. The otter had shown him his own scar on the bottom of his forearm, telling a story of how he got it. This made Urctos sure that the otter knew what he was doing. The bear looked at the pile of herbs and plants and nudged it back towards Rebel.
"You do it...I..I don't know how." He craned his neck so that the wound was facing the otter.

I could tell the bear wasn't excited about having me help out, though I could that he knew it was best. I figured he might be embarrased, so I didn't want to make it worse. I'd had my share of embarrassment before, and it wasn't pretty. So I took the bear aside.
"Alright, I'm just gonna tie these leaves on with this vine.." I said, glad there was a piece of vine within reach. I snapped it off, and crawled on the bear's head, placing some of the leaves on his cut, and tying the vine around his head like a bandana. Hopping off the bear, I look up. Looks like it covered the wound well.
"Now you'll just need to leave that on for a little while, and let the herb seep in and begin the healing process." I explain. "By the way, I never caught your name..." I say, rather lamely.

The otter began to climb and crawl along his spine, explaining what he was doing as he did his work. The black grizzly cringed every once in a while as Rebel's paws and collected herbs pressed against the wound. Rebel leapt from his forehead and back upon the ground.
Urctos rubbed his paw against the vine tied to his head. It was a tad uncomfortable, but it would be worth it in the end. He glanced back down at Rebel, who was looking the makeshift bandage over.
"Now you'll just need to leave that on for a little while, and let the herb seep in and begin the healing process." He explained throughly. "By the way, I never caught your name..."
"Urctos... my name's Urctos." the bear said quietly. He touched the vine again. "Thanks....for your help."
