"Are you guys OK?" Ken'ichi asks us.
Koda runs up to him. "A lightning struck the forest, I think a fire started in the forest," he says.
"Fire?" Ken'ichi asks.
I look at Kia, Koda, and Ken'ichi. "We have to get out of here!" I pant. Kia nodds.

I turn around to see fire... well it's not good... but we're at a good distance from it... so we should be fine... and other bears are alerted and they run away from the fire...
I hear a yelp of pain far away... when Ken'ichi before me also yelps in pain... what...?
"What's wrong, Ken'ichi? I think I heard a yelp far away... let's go and see if we can help..."
We run towards the fire and Ken'ichi gets ahead of me because my arm is still sore...
"What...?"
I see Kenai with the Darksoul... in the fire... what must I do...
Another yelp of pain... this time... from Ken'ichi... as the Darksoul burns itself...
I jump through the fire... the only way is... to hold the darksoul down... that way Ken'ichi won't get hurt...
The darksoul attacks me... and I dodge its attack and skillfully grab him and push him onto the ground...

After hearing that there is a fire somewhere, I look around and see partial smoke from the forest near us.. It doesn't seem to be too near, so I wasn't worried about it. But then I heard a yelp...Then Ken'ichi yelped as well, for some odd reason, he was looking at his paw, it seemed to have very small but probably painful 2nd degree burns... Oyy, too many things to comprehend... We run towards the forest where the fire is to see who is yelping, a cub or something... When we arrive where the fire is, we see Kenai is the in a surrounding ring of fire, the red blaze coloring the area with red, making it look like a volcanic area, only smaller. Kenai was trying to do something with the dark soul that is in there with him. so that's why Ken'ichi is being hurt... I roared to Kenai, telling him the best I could that that wasn't Ken'ichi, but he couldn't hear me... Suddenly Niki presses foward through the flames, and pins the darksoul to the ground. I watch him closely...I was trying to think of a plan...

(Ken'ichi)-(1st person)
I see smoke rising from the woods some distance from here, time to move it. I pad toward Niki and stand next to him, but my attention was brought up when we heard a yelp from some distance, next thing I know a sharp pain comes from my left paw and I yelp in pain. I could barely stop from dropping to the ground, I look at my left paw and find it burned, like if I placed it in fire. My right eye is closed from the sheer pain and agony of having one of your paws burned.
"What's wrong, Ken'ichi?" Apparently Niki doesn't look back at me to see that I'm wounded again, "I think I heard a yelp far away... let's go and see if we can help..."
Spectrue and Niki goes to where the other yelp came from, I follow them in pain of the burn on my paw, but I gotta keep going. We reach our destination to see Kenai in a ring of fire fighting with a cu...No! It's that 'Darksoul' cub again! I see the Darksoul backing up and it burns one of his legs...oh no. Again, a sheer sharp of pain comes from one of my right leg and I yelp again in pain and I fall to the ground, I look back to see one of my right leg burned like my left paw. The pain is unbearable when you are burned in two places. I watch as Niki holds down the Darksoul to keep it from hurting itself and me. I try to get up but this burning pain isn't letting me, I collapse unto the ground again and I weakly open my eyes to see what's happening...

The next hting we knew we hear a yelp from the distance. I look at Ken'ichi. He is wounded. Nikki and Ken'ichi go towards the direction of the yelp. Koda, Kia, and I silently follow.
When we get there we see the cub that was fighting Ken'ichi earlier fighting with Kenai. Koda gasps The three of us hide amoung the bushes to watch the action.
Nikki holds down the cub. Ken'ichi yelps again and collapses on the ground. I see him open his eyes slightly. I wanted to go to him but I knew better than to give away my-no, our position. So I stay hidden and watch.

Ken'ichi yelps in pain yet again, and I see an overwhelming burn mark on his right leg... This is getting out of hand. I decided to run down near him, kneel down, and as he holds his leg with the paw not burned, screaming in agonizing pain, I took off my prisms from my neck and maine, and used them to heal his burns. After I did that, he sat there breathing heavily from the mental and physical shock of having burns in two places at once. I got up and looked at Niki holding the darksoul down as hard as he could... Then finally, an idea strikes me...What if I used the prisms' power...That one move... Yea, that will definatly work! I'm glad one of my friends taught it to me... I ran out to the small boulder by the ring of fire, and with a swish, I transformed into my fox form, for this was the only form that could withstand this ability.
"Alright you demon!" The dark soul looked at me with his red eyes, striving to get out, anger and frustration building up in his muscles.
"Have a taste of this!"
I threw my prisms in the air and pointed two of my fingers on one hand to them, making them stay there, and then used both my hands to gather an energy...an energy that has an extreme amount of gravity and strength, that if I were to let go of it, it would crush into the earth and make a crator the size of Ken'ichi... I held it steadily into a small ball-like form, concentrating more and more energy into it with my hands. Finally, I held it in one hand very carefully, and pointed my other hand at the prisms still floating in the air. I snapped my fingers, the prisms fell into my hands. I took them and shook them in my hand harshly, making a certain wave of energy burst from my knuckles, I yelled.
"Hya!" I threw the prisms that I had crushed into the air, and focused my mind on them. They formed a small ball, somewhat related to that of the energy I was holding. The ball came down into my hand in two pieces, a red and green one. I watched Niki closely.
"Get off of him now, Niki! Hurry!"
Niki got distracted by my yelling, Kenai had ran out of the ring of fire by then, getting near me and Ken'ichi. Niki released his grip off of the vile creature, and he leapt to his feet, breathing heavily. He was extremely mad now, his red pierced eyes searching and scanning for Niki, he by the side of the ring of fire. Finally, I threw the ball of energy in one deep gasp.
"HYA!!!!!!!" I threw it at the darksoul, his eyes widening, he gasped out all of his breath. But he tried running away, and in the process, he ran and tore into Niki's neck, knocking him to the ground with his jaws. The two fell into the fire's burning. My energy ball had luckily came into contact with the darksoul, driving him into the earth, making him stay there, unable to move. He snarled and yelled and screamed. I ran up to the crater as quickly as possible, as I told Ken'ichi to help Niki out of the fire. I took the balled prisms, and threw them into the energy ball that the darksoul was encaved under, deep in the earth's crust. The balled prisms took effect and seethed into the energy, releasing a red and green glow... The darksoul yelled out in pain, yet Ken'ichi was uneffected.... The energy seethed into the ground, resinating red and green back and fourth, finally coming to an end, the balled prisms fell to the ground as one ball, holding a red and green aura... I walked to it slowly, the fire now nearly blown out by the enourmas energy, and lifted the prism ball in my hand. I looked deep inside, and saw a familier pair of eyes, a mouth with blood enshiethed under the ball's surface... I sighed deeply, and fell to the ground, my eyes on the sky. I hadn't used that in a long time, and now it had drain all the energy out of me... I was exhausted, so I lay there a few seconds, then pull myself up to see that Niki was laying on the ground in a coma..........
"Niki!" I ran to him and looked at him. His neck was deeply cut, blood was stained allover and he was still bleeding... Oh no... Ken'ichi was beside him, had he'd not dragged him from the blaze, he could of been killed. I looked at him and shook him.
"Niki! Niki, wake up!" It was no use...The only thing we could was wait... I sighed and put my head in my knees as I sat on the burnt ground beside Ken'ichi....

I look towards Ken'ichi, and I see Spectrue coming behind him... Now I realize Ken'ichi is burnt... he collapses and opens his eyes slighly...

And so I did. but the darksoul gets up on his feet... I look at the ball flying towards the darksoul... when I suddently feel pain in my neck... I lose my strength and collapse.

I feel relief of the severe pain as Spectrue uses his prisms to heal my burns. I breath hard as I recover from the pain. I then try to get up as Spectrue does something with his prisms and shouts to Niki to get off of the Darksoul, I look behind me to see Koda and the girls hiding behind some bushes, I gotta protect them if the Darksoul thinks about attacking them.
"HYA!!!!!!!" I looked at Spectrue to see him throwing a ball of energy at the Darksoul, what is he doing? If that kills the Darksoul...I'll be too!
I see the Darksoul panicking and goes to run away from the ball of energy, there's no escape...
I see the Darksoul jumpin to Niki and...No! The Darksoul has sunk his teeth into Niki's neck!
My eyes widen and I gasp as I see the Darksoul practically biting Niki's neck off, I fell back, sitting down, my widened eyes still fixed on Niki. No...Niki...don't leave me...
I look at my paws, they have held the blood of my family once, when the humans brutally took them away. And now...Darksoul has taken Niki...
I still remember Kamali's words..."You have a wonderful brother Ken'ichi, hold him close and never let go." Those gentle words that used to shelter me, almost like a dream..."Take good care of him Ken'ichi...be good.
"I didn't...I didn't held him close enough..." I whisper as I kept looking at my paws, remembering those words.
I hear Spectrue telling me to go to Niki's aid, I quickly got up and did what I was told. I stand next to Niki and I look at the horrible wound that Darksoul did to him, blood seeping out of his wound like if there's no tomorrow, a brutal wound. Tears started falling down my cheek as I see Niki like this...I bet he felt the same way when...
=FLASHBACK=
(Ken'ichi)-(3rd person)
Ken'ichi is pinned to the edge of a cliff, the hunter ready to give the finishing blow, when Niki notices the hunter and tackles the hunter with a roar.
"GO AWAY!!!"
The hunter falls to the ground, with his face under Ken'ichi's.
"Ken'ichi, take this chance and run..."
Ken'ichi, out of pure anger and hatred, stands up on his hind legs, flexing his claws.
"Ken'ichi?"
Just seconds before Ken'ichi would send his claws down on the hunter's face, an arrow flies at him and hits his chest.
"No! No!"
Ken'ichi stumbles while Niki stares, horrified.
"Ni...ki..."
Ken'ichi's strength fails him and he falls back, down the cliff.
=END OF FLASHBACK=
(Ken'ichi)-(1st person)
No! It can't end like that! It was Niki's prism that kept me alive long enough for Spectrue to come back with the prism to revive me. I don't have that prism piece inside of me to keep Niki alive, all I have is a useless fire red ruby prism piece in me which doesn't do anything! And my crystal doesn't heal. It can't end that way...It's not that way...this is different...and yet so similar...
"Niki?!"
No reply...
"Niki! Please...say something...anything..."
Still no reply, he's not even moving. No...please Niki...I can't afford to lose another piece of my family, you're all I got left, I can't afford to lose you!
I sit there with my head bowed down, my left paw on Niki's paw. Spectrue comes and tries to wake him up, but he doesn't. He sits besides me, his head resting on his knees.
More tears starts flowing down my face, but I try to keep it inside of me. Why...If the Darksoul was a part of me...why did it attacked Niki...I thought no matter if it's a Darksoul or not, it would have...it would still love its own brother...but I was wrong, it didn't...it's just a cub with its heart and mind buried deep in darkness...where no light shines...
I shake my head, trying to stay brave and strong, keeping my anger inside, but I feel like letting it all out...I throw my head up, close my eyes and I roar it all out...again...
"Rrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
I stop roaring and look at Niki again, still not showing any movement. I close my eyes and rest my head on Niki, burying my face on his chest, crying.
Please Niki...stay with me...please, stay with me...

Hearing Ken'ichi's roar, my head again began seething into a hot balloon feeling process...It wasn't because of his roar, oh no, it was because of that energy...I haven't trained hard enough to contain that much energy in my force and will...It's just too much....
I sat up from my knees, my head sweating profusivly... I got up and walked over to Ken'ichi... He was deeply enfused into Niki's chest, crying his heart out... I would to...if I had a body to cry on. Instead, I found myself falling to my knees, and whispering something...
"Ken'ichi.. I'm sorry... He'll be alright, he won't go, I know it in my heart..." I watched Niki closely... Slowly, his blood was flowing from his neck, but it was slowing down, ever so slightly... I hoped this was a sign of will and strength, that he was actually holding on... Holding on to something, someone...And to my own thoughts, I took it in that, he was holding on for Ken'ichi..
I fell to the ground and breathed hard...
"You don't know how good it feels...to rest after using up so much energy.... I've got to lie here, or I'll follow Niki's same pain...I won't close my eyes, so I'll still be here if you need me..." I watched the dirt and rocks before my eyes, they're forms and shapes embedded in my mind as of now...

Where the northern lights are...
"Siraki? Why am I here?"
Siraki puts his paw on my shoulder and... I see my body... stained red... Ken'ichi crying, and pushing my body, biting my ears... and Spectrue shaking his head... I sigh...
"Well, is it the end of my life?"
Siraki doesn't answer.
"But... what about Ken'ichi? He needs me!"
Siraki shakes his head...
"What...? I need to go back!"
"Going back will mean more suffering... I'm doing this for you!" Siraki finally says... but... not what I want to hear...
"What?"
"There is just too much ahead of you... Nikiski... it's better if you stay away from all those sufferings..."
"What suffering...? He can't lose me just like that...?"
"Well he lost his family... it doesn't hurt to lose just one more."
"It's simply suffering for him to lose me! Look at him... Now he is going to suffer for the rest of HIS life... I can't let him suffer!"
"You cannot... Nikiski-"
"I can't leave him... I gotta go back... I still care for him... I am his brother! I love him and I gotta stay with Ken'ichi!"
Then after a flash of light I see Ken'ichi's family... and Kamali...
"...huh?"
Kamali walks over... "Nikiski... this is a test for the brotherhood bond between you and Ken'ichi..."
Siraki continues... "because to purify that Darksoul... you two need to have a strong bond... well... we must let you go back... since you demonstrated your love for him..."
Then the northern lights surround my physical body... I turn and Ken'ichi's family and Siraki gives an assuring smile. I smile back and....

"Hhm...." I wake up...
"Niki?" Ken'ichi asks...
"Ken'ichi?"
Ken'ichi jumps on me, hugging me and rubbing his head against my chest...
"Niki, I thought you were gone!" Ken'ichi said with a tear in his eyes.
"Ha, you can't knock down your brother that easy!" I say with a grin. I have my everything... back...

I try everything to wake him up, I pushed his body and even bit his ears...but nothing...No...He can't be gone...
I don't know what else to do, I fall again on my brother's chest, crying a little bit more. Suddenly, a familiar feeling sorrounds me, it was the Northern Lights. They sorround Niki, I thought they came to take away his body, so I kept my face buried on my brother's chest...it could be the last time I feel his gentle touch...
But to my surprise, I feel some slight movements from Niki.
"Hhm...."
I slowly retrack my head from Niki's chest and see some slight movement on my big brother.
"Niki?" I ask.
"Ken'ichi?" I hear Niki speak!
He slowly sits up, I smile as the tears continues going down my face, he's alive! I jump on my brother, hugging him and rubbing my head against his chest.
"Niki, I thought you were gone!" I say with tears in my eyes.
"Ha, you can't knock down your brother that easy!" Niki says with a grin.
I stay there, on my brother's chest, hugging him and continue rubbing my head against his chest. I almost lost him...but I'm glad I didn't...I don't know what I would've done if he died...I would practically kill that Darksoul myself...but I'm so happy things didn't go that way. As long as we both love each other and stay close to each other, we can overcome anything...

ANother bear comes and heals Ken'ichi with some sort of prisms. "Who is that?" I ask Koda.
"That's Spectrue," Koda replied.
I looked at Kia to see if she heard. I was shocked to see her staring dreamily at Ken'ichi. I rolled my eyes. Sure, I liked Ken'ichi too. But I didn't go making it so obvious. I turned my attention bac to the fight.
Spectrue does something with the prisms and tells Nikki to get off the "Darksoul" as they call it. I see Ken'ichi look where we were hiding. I think he saw us. I looked back at Spectrue. He was throwing a ball of energy at the Darksoul. The Darksoul tries to run away from the energy. It jumps at Niki and sinks his teeth in his neck. The energy hits the Darksoul and he stays there, defeated.
Spectrue tells Ken'ichi to go to Niki's aid. He does so. We see Ken'ichi start to cry. He tries to get Niki to wake up. Spectrue comes and sits by Ken'ichi.
"Rrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" Ken'ichi cries. He rests his head on Niki and cries.
Spectrue whispers something to Ken'ichi. Ken'ichi cries some more. But Niki moves and opens his eyes. Ken'ichi jumps on him and hugs him.
I smile to myself and trn to the others. Koda ran out from the bushes! Kia follows. I shake my head in defeat and follow them up to Niki and Ken'ichi. "That was amazing!" Koda cries.
I nod. "Yeah, it was pretty cool," I agree. Kia just continues staring dreamily at Ken'ichi. I roll my eyes again.

I laid there silent...Ken'ichi had been desperately trying to get Niki to wake up once again... It was nearly useless...I couldn't believe, that because of my own power, I couldn't even begin to think of any way to help him feel better, or Niki. I sat there, and for the first time in years, I had tears rolling down my cheeks... I couldn't believe one of my best friend's brother was now gone, not only just his brother, but he was a truely good friend to me too... The orb that contained the darksoul was moving back and forth on the ground, the evil within it trying to get out, but it wasn't going to have any chance of getting out of it.. I was glad for that, but I was still overwhelmed by the enourmas loss of both energy and loss of words... Ken'ichi is still crying heavily onto his brother, and I deepened into sadness... But...something surrounds my motionless body...Something eerie, full of awe.. Had the spirits began to make a conspiracy to unrightfully take Niki's soul away from this world? I couldn't understand it, but the feeling began soothing me a bit...Maybe it was telling me not to worry.. But wait...I heard a small voice... My hearing was becoming abrupt, but I knew from that voice, even without the words translated to me, I heard the voice of Niki... Could...could it be? I hear conversation take place between Ken'ichi's voice and Niki... Was he truely awake?
"Un..." I managed to reply...
"I dun...tink... I cun....get...up....to give...Niki a hug..." I laughed very quietly, my words began failing me, but at least I got the message across... I was near completely out of strength, and not even the prisms I have can repay that strength I used...I need rest...I need a place to sleep... I found myself just thinking and thinking, my voice being replaced with thoughts, for my strength couldn't sustain any more movement or speech...I had been done in for the day...And now I had hoped Niki and Ken'ichi would take me away from this dreadful spot, somehow, now that I was in my lighter fox form, and they would hopefully lift the orb that the darksoul was in and take it with us, for I needed to tell them, when strength was replaced in my body, the way to purify the darksoul...

I notice Spectrue on the ground... I am not sure what happened before I woke up... but he sure does look tired.
"Un... I dun...tink... I cun....get...up....to give...Niki a hug..." Spectrue says weakly and laughs lightly.
"Doesn't matter, Spectrue, don't feel bad 'bout it... You can hug me whenever you want to." I say with a grin.
Now with Spectrue being tired... I think it is better for us to head back to our den as it is safer but also more comfortable. I ask Ken'ichi to help me put Spec on my back, and we start our way back to our den...
Ken'ichi picks up a clear ball... I don't know what it is but I figure I'll ask Spec later after he gets some rest.
I turn to the cubs and invite them to come to my den.
