I just thought I'd post a little something here. I saw the Phil Collins "Look Through My Eyes" music video on the Disney channel today and I spotted the McDonald's advertisement. I guess the Happy Meal toys are finally out, lol. Anyway, if anybody else has spotted any cool Brother Bear media or whatever, post it here.

Yup, the happy meal toys are out. And they aren't that great. :/ Yes, I'm a 22 year old dork, I collect happy meal toys that interest me. ; ) I haven't seen any commercials or anything at all for Brother Bear, but then again I haven't been watchiing tv. I hear a lot of talk about it over at the art building on campus if that counts. People talk about how much it sucks compared to finding Nemo. Buuut.. I'm not going to go into that, I already wrote a big old post in my live journal grumbling about how people compare animated movies like that and then turn around and complain that the animation industry isn't doing so well.

There was a write-up in the local paper on Brother Bear. I still have it. I'll hafta scan it so's you guys can check it out. Yo Kenai! I know what'cha mean about people comparing it with Finding Nemo. I hate Disney's computer animated movies! I simply cannot find out what was so good about Monsters Inc. That was the stupidest movie I have ever seen! I didn't laugh once at anything. Actually, it wasn't funny 'til I watched it with my lil' bro and he made fun of stuff in it (the kid's a comic!). Anyway, I don't where they get off comparing a traditionally animated film with a CG one. That's as senseless as comparing animation itself with live action. I haven't seen Finding Nemo and I dun wanna cuz, first of all, sharks scare me to death and second, I've hated every CG movie Disney's made. Why waste my money seein' another one I'll prob'ly hate just as much? Okay, I'm gettin' off topic here. Never mind. *shuts up and tramples off*

Although I did see "Brother Bear" on opening day, I can say that I haven't heard much opinion about it; all that I know is that it is doing reasonably well in the box office, and that people tend to either love or hate it. This is the first that I have heard of the film being compared to "Finding Nemo," however, which is completely unfair. Not only are they two different mediums, but the stories have little to nothing in common; and so nothing worth being compared. I have heard it being compared to "Pocahontas," "Mulan," and "The Lion King," however. It still does not make sense to me much at all.
Oh well. You cannot please everyone, I suppose.

Hmm...I've only heard of it being compared with TLK and the paper write-up compares it with Dumbo and Bambi! *cracks up* Go figure, eh?

Really? Let's compare it with "Toy Story" and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" while we're at it. ^^;

Yeah, the computer animated stuff just isn't good to me. I'd rather download it on a computer than watch it on tv anyway. Some of the flash movies they come up with on the internet are way more entertaining than any Monsters Inc or whatever. ; ) That probably has to be one of the worst computer ones they've done.

I saw a commercial today that said Brother Bear is right up there with The Lion King where animation, music, and story is concerned. ;D

I hope that website displays the correct DVD cover art; for once it isn't based off of a tired and repetitive promotional poster. ^^;

Hey guys....I made a cool discovery yesterday about Koda and Tug. I took my sister to see Brother Bear (again) yesterday, we stayed and watched the credits (because my sister wanted to listen to the song). Well I was reading through the credits and it seems that Koda and Tug share the same mother. Why? Because it was going down the character listings, and it said "Koda & Tug's mother." So I guess Koda does/did have a brother after all. lol Just thought you guys would like that lil bit of info.....
