Well, now that Disney is not doing their 2D animations anymore, and had laid off a bunch of animators, does anyone know if those animators are looking for work? I have a feature that I am planning, but am in the screenwriting phase now. Since I already have a story written, it is not that hard to convert it to a screenplay. But later, I will need animators.

The funny thing is that this isn't the first time that Disney has let go of some studio or a bunch of animators. You know Don Bluth? Creator of such classics as 'Land Before time', 'An American Tail', and 'The Secret of NIHM'. Well he used to work for Disney until he had to go his own way for probably the same reasons. I heard that the Florida based studios are starting their own company but they have to start off small so there should still be a bunch of unemployed animators out there. Pixar is also leaving Disney so I'm begining to question what Disney plans to do for the future of it's films.

Yes, I know Don Bluth. I acutally contacted them wanting to volunteer for some work out there, and they didn't seem interested. After that, I made my decision to produce my movie myself.
