Despite trying to get to know Talist better, there's still plenty to know about her. Ah well. No one is totally flat surfaced, and those who present themselves that way are doing it purposely, and often themselves are deeper than the ones who are more real, because they perform an act whenever around others. And, I'm not quite sure, but I don't see too much of an act around her. Though, I could be wrong; perhaps she's good at it, but I don't really see much of one. Which, makes it a lot easier.
A faint flash of light catchs my eye, and I see that it is Nikiski's crystal in the light. He's showing it to that other bear...what's his name? Oh yeah, Kenai. I notice that there's a something strangely shaped hanging from his neck as well. In fact, unlike Nikiski's crystal, which at least looks natural, his looks like it was made by a human. I feel some annoyance boil up inside me. What? Is it some sort of trend, now? I shrug it off, and grow interested in the sky above me.

As I talk to Kenai, I hear somebody walking close by. I turn and see Sioul behind us. After that he wanders off.
"Hey Sioul, wanna join us? We're just walking around here."
Guess he doesn't hear me. I spot a bear trap by a tree.
"Heh, Kenai, you DON'T want to be hung from a tree eh? Watch out. Koda will laugh at you if you walk into that trap."
"Heh, don't worry, I wo-"
I put my right paw in front of my eyes.
"Aaw... not again..."
I walk over to where the trap is tied. I giggle as I slowly pad over.
"Ya ready, Kenai?"
"Ya sure whatever..."
I kick the stick, and watch Kenai being flung up into the air.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
Kenai falls to the ground.
"You okay Kenai?"
"Urg, no. Can you see it?"
I help Kenai to get off the ground.
"Hahahaha."
"Don't YOU DARE telling this, OK? Especially Koda."
"Hahahahahaha!"
"Hey I'm serious."
"Okay Okay."
I try to stop laughing.

I decided to stop looking at the sky for a little while, and saw the entire thing. Kenai falling for the most obvious trap, Nikiski having to help him out, and then Kenai falling, and afterwards I laugh quietly. No use in making him feel worse. "Idiot," I mutter under my breath. I then remember Nikiski got trapped only recently, and smirk at this thought.
I then notice that Sioul, who had been following them, was gone. "Hmm...maybe HE got trapped in a pit trap..." I muse, actually kind of hoping such a thing would happen. I then feel some guilt, only some, just because I think a bear as hyper as he would die of boredom in less than ten minutes.

Kenai and I walk around the area, and come back, seeing everyone have fun. I notice that the sun is about to set and the storytelling party is going to start soon.
"Hey everybody, let's go together eh?"
We pad over to there the story-telling party is.

I follow along, a bit behind, unsure of what exactly happens at this event and deciding to observe for a while. Besides, Talist is even newer than me, and I don't want to leave her out. I'm curious to what they mean by 'story telling' though. I had never heard of such a thing while in my old pack, and I had never learned of it through traveling, either.

We've arrived at the party.
Tug: "Hello everybody, how's you been."
All: "Good!"
Tug: "All right, let me see some paws in the air, who's going to tell the next fish tale."
Crowd: "Me me me me"
Bear cubs: "Here here here here"
Tug: "Watch me watch me, (fakes) ha, got ya" (throws the fish tail)

I'd been reassured that this place was a good one, and everything around me seemed to confirm that this was the truth, though it would be terribly idealistic to believe that there was never anything difficult to deal with. For the moment, all energy was being put to the purposes of enjoying life. There was so much to take in. I still felt a bit lost, but there were familiar touches here at the salmon run, and after a some reflection, I realized what they were.
The water fight in the river had made me smile, and I’d had to suppress a laugh when Nikiski shook himself dry—his fur had bushed out, giving the impression of a giant brown dandelion puff, but nothing remotely intimidating. Here were the signs of friends. Nikiski, Sila, Koda, Ken’ichi, Kanoa, they could depend on each other, even if it was for something as simple as a laugh, or a prank to let them know that they were not forgotten.
I finally rise, and pad over to join Sila, following the bears. “A party, is it? Lets find out what happens at the secret bear gatherings, shall we?”

I laugh softly at Talist's comment, finding it a bit ironic that such a large group could be so 'secretive'. Then, again, unlike her I hadn't known of the place, and had only ran into it by pure luck. Not that I believe in that.
As we come to the party, I can't help but to blink in surprise at their...custom. A fish tail? I wonder what's so appealing about a fish tail, but I shrug. Watching the way they perform the game, or whatever it is, they'd need something to throw. And, I think that maybe rocks would be too dangerous...at least in the paws of some of the bears.

Croation Bear: "@*!&$)*%&)!&$#@)*&@)(*&$@"
Other bears look at each other, not knowing if this suppose to be a happy or sad story.
Croation Bear laughs.
Other bears join in laughing. The fish tail is in the air and is caught by a bear cub.
Bear Cub #1: This year me and my mommy went to the forest and my mommy let me bounce on the big tree!
Everyone laughs and the cub's mom throws the fish tail for him. The fish tail lands in front of Sila.

OOC: Aww, thanks! I agree, thank you everyone who have made the RP so fun and interesting!
BIC:
I'm shocked that it actually landed in front of me. I was kind of hoping I could go through the night without it happening. I understand the game by now, at least. I'm a fast learner. I pick the up the fish tail gingerly, as if it were about to spring up and bite me.
Taking in a deep breath, still thinking about what I should say, I finally come to a conclusion. "This year was just like any year, traveling blindly. So I blindly tripped into this place...and that's where I met the first friends I've had in a long time," I say, tossing the fish tail randomly.
A bear cub catches it, and after everyone listened to its amusing tale, the bear cub throws the fish tail up in the air...and it lands right in front of Talist. I find this ironic in a way, and also curious to hear what she has to say.

OOC: Thanks Nikiski! And thanks to you all for being so patient with my brother. I know he can be a hand full, but he’s really enjoying the roleplay. Thank you for letting him participate and including him in your posts. (He’s going to kill me when he reads this.)
BIC: Knowing how hyper my brother can be, I told him that I would join him later. But I really didn’t want to be around when they witness his whole fiasco.
“I’ll just hang out at this side of the salmon run.”
Sure enough he was as hyper active as ever, as I saw him fall from a tree and get completely covered in honey. Then run over and do a cannon ball into the water and wet all my friends. He sure was full of energy. After a while I had lost track of him and I noticed that the salmon run party was almost getting started.
“Oh no! I don’t want him to miss this! I’d better hurry and find him. I think I saw him heading upstream, following the others.”
I run up the path and pick up his scent off the side. I follow his trail to a cave. I find him sleeping inside.
“Only you would be crazy enough to come up with something like this. Poor kid must’ve worn himself out.”
I walk on over and nudge him to wake him up. He barely opens his eyes half-way. Looking like the undead, he just moans.
“Come on Sioul you can’t go to sleep here. Let me take you back to the salmon run. You can keep sleeping there if you want, but I don’t want to miss the party. Get on my back, I’ll carry you.”
Since he’s still very young, he’s not too big to climb on my back but still he’s quite heavy.
“Ooof- your getting pretty big there. Come on lets go.”
With Sioul sleeping on my back I trudge on back to the salmon run.
