Sniffing the air, I smelled the sweet aroma of flowers and trees and natural...uhh...things, but it all smelled pretty good, hybrided together... I listened to Niki hum a pretty good tune, and as I walked along the path, he mentioned something about a trap, but before he could finish, I heard a snap, a crackle. Then, woosh! I find my whole world spinning and flying toward the sky, along with my stomach.
"OH, JEEZE!!!"
I yelled into the air. My eyes rolled to the back in my head, and I could see nothing for a few seconds, keeping my eyes closed. I couldn't think, I couldn't feel. I felt like vommiting, but I kept my stomach under control, and I found myself lurching my eyes open, very slowly. I was completely upside-down, and seeing the blurry faces of the other bears, I couldn't tell whether they were smiling or frowning or anything. I just swayed back and forth.
"Get...me...down...Please..." I felt like I was gunna lose my head, it felt so rikocheted. I just swung, hearing the sounds of the bark, cracking and snapping and creaking. I felt only one word before my world was turned dark for a few moments. Humiluation.

Before I could finish what I said about the trap, I heard a snap, a crackle, then screams... The next thing I saw was Spectrue hanging upside down from a tree...
"Hmm, are you OK?"
I knew that hanging from a tree wouldn't be fun, but, apperantly it was the first time Spectrue walked into a trap, I thought I'll just fool around with him for a moment or two.
"Ahh, this trap, I think that's a type A4-8 trap. It is triggered by weight on that piece of wooden board over there..."
Points at a piece of board on the grass.
"When you accidently stepped on it, the machenism losen up, and the rope hidden underneath the board wrapped around your foot..."
Looks at where the trap was tied.
"Then, with the elasticity of the tree, you were swung up into the air. Actually, hm, about 10 feet..."
I slowly backed towards where the trap was tied...
"So, if you want to get down, you can either chew your own foot off..."
The tie is within the reach of my back leg..
"or I kick this little stick right here..."
I kicked the stick, and I backed up, watch how this is going to throw him...

"Does it look like I'm ok?" I asked him in a smart aleck way, but instead, I changed my tone.
"Look...could you, get me down from here, any-" Before I could finish, he started rambling about the trap. If he didn't stop, I was gunna strangle his "trap", but I couldn't do anything hangin from a tree. I think he was just making it all up as he went, but it seemed logical enough.
"A4-8 trap? what kind of-"
I stopped and continued listening.
"Well, it's a wonder of what I'm hanging fro-"
More talk.
"Makes since..." I looked at the ground distance, and I instantly knew he was right. Man, how was he this smart? He went to where the trap was tied.
"Chew, my...wha? I don't think that's gunna happ-"
He lowers his leg near the trap stick, and I widen my eyes.
"Uhh...what are...you...?!"
He kicked the stick, and instantly, as before my vision turns into clouds of color and streaming as my whole body is flown into the air foward, launching be up in the sky like a sling shot in the mid-evil wars.
"AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I flipped through the air, and landed on the ground, flat on my back.
"Urg...ow...pain...much...pain...discom-ow-fort..."...
I lay there, my eyes widening, and I see an object in the sky. What the, I thought, but before I could think, everything went black, with a pow. It felt...like some stick...I felt my head go numb, and I sat up quickly, holding my head, cringing.
"OWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!"
I felt my back loosen and burn from the impact earlier.
"AHHG!!" I slapped my paws on my back, trying to get rid of the pain. Ug...man...I was really gunna feel this later, I thought. But I tried to shake it off, and I was on my feet again. I'd worse pain than this, so I decided I shouldn't take it that seriously. But, oh, how it felt to have any pain for so long. I'd been immune to any physical damage for so long in my past, I"d guessed it ws because I wasn't used to it, but I kept my mind steady, and I gave Niki a poor look.
"Thanks...thanks a lot..."
I walked over to the bears, ready to embrace any laughing.

Watching Spectrue flung up into the air was fun. His facial expressions were extremely interesting. Then I watched him decend, I remembered that I haven't told him about holding on to something when he comes back down...
"Spectrue, hold on to so-"
Apperantly it was a little too late, Spectrue was on the ground before I could finish. I walked over, looked at him, watched him get up...
"Aah, sorry I forgot to tell you that you're supposed to hold onto something... are you OK?"
Oh well, all of us laughed anyways.
"I mean, the first time I walked into a trap was worse than this... I couldn't get up for three days!"
Thinking that Spectrue should feel better now...
"Alright, let's move on..."
We continued to walk in the direction of the salmon run...

OOC: That was very creative. That a bear can specificly discribe the design of a human trap with great detail adds a comical value to that post.

Sighing, I walk with the others.
"I wonder if we can find something else to do...besides getting caught in a "type A4-8 trap", as some bears describe it..."
I glare at Niki. But then I feel guilty. He helped me from a trap, in a midly wild way, but it was all the same consideration for others, so I smiled, and let out a laugh.
"Ah, I'm kidding Niki. Thanks for helping me out. But nomore FLINGIN!"
we all laughed and continued on deep into the forest. The sun was begginning to set, but we still had several hours to go. I must of wasted one hour, messing up like that, but oh well, Sa-la-vee. Such as life.
OOC- I agree, Truttle. niki's post was rather comical, I liked it XD. XD= a rolling out of my chair laughing my butt off face. XDXDXD

OOC~ Glad you guys like it. Spectrue glared at me. I felt sorry for him, but then he said he was kidding."Alright no more flinging, but how 'bout more hanging?" Well were are WAY behind schedule there. I was afraid that we won't be able to make it to the salmon in time."I think we are getting late, you guys have any ideas?"

OOC: I'm sorry to interupt the story at the moment, but are we exploring thru an unknown part of the forest or going to the salmon run, or is the unknown part of the forest an easier way to get to the salmon run? Maybe I missread some of the previous posts. I have trouble keeping track of the story. I'm going to have to back track.

OOC: Yeah, maybe we can work with that. BIC:Looking up at the sky, I see the twilight of the sky from the setting sun. "It's getting dark. It won't do us any good to keep going. We could end up getting lost and travel way off course. We should find a good spot and rest up for the night. We can continue in the morning." OOC: (unless someone wants to try something else. ) Note that bears may have a supurb sense of smell. But their hearing and vision isn't all that spectacular. So I doubt we'll be able to see in the dark. It may not be any better than a human but I don't know that much.

I trot alongside the other bears, when we are warned of a trap. The next thing I know, Spectrue has gotten himself stuck in the tree. I snort with laughter. So my big brother isn't the only one who gets caught in traps!
"Spectrue!" I call, "Don't worry, this happens to Kenai all the time!" I laugh again, then Niki starts to get Spectrue down. He flies through the air, and I laugh my fur off as he comes smashing down. I begin to roll on the ground with laughter.
After Spectrue is down, Truttle suggests we bed down for the night, as it's getting dark. I want to keep exploring, but Truttle was right, we could get seriously lost, and I wouldn't want that to happen. I nod.
'Hey, let's tell stories!" I say, "I got tons of great stories to tell! Like the one time me and Bucky got chased by a wolverine! That was scary! I thought he was gonna eat us up and then..." I pause as I see the bears roll their eyes. I grin.

I sat and listened to Koda tell his story. That's was a good story, except that he's now telling it the tenth time or so... I rolled my eyes and apparently Koda saw me do that. He stopped and grinned.

I heard Truttle mention it getting pretty dark, so I nodded. "Yea, we'll find some place to stay." Listening to Koda partially sumerize a story in which he may have told before, I listened quite attentively, til he stopped. I seen the others roll their eyes. But I had to hear more. I decided I'd get him to talk later, I loved listening to others stories. I stopped short for a second and stared beyond the trees... "Hey...You wanna find a place to stay tonight, than I just found something..." I trotted in front of the others quickly to the spot I gestured towards, and stopped in front of it. It was cool, had a nice cavarnous area, with a large entrance, rocky type of door-way, nice little dry patio near a small water pond, with many berry bushes right by. I poked my head into the cave and let out a "hello?" in the area. I heard it echoe, and there was no answer. "whatcha guys think?" I said, as I turned around facing the others. OOC- Niki, I'll spend the night at your cave the following day after the salmon run is over, that way I'll see the lights. As long as you don't mind

"That looks like a great place to stay."
OOC:I think it was a good idea to share stories. I have a story I'd like to tell. Would everyone else like to try it, or should we save it for the salmon run?
