Life with Koda

I can already tell Kadzait's suspicious of me. Even worse, he may not believe me at all. Not that anything bad would happen...but I'd rather have an excuse. "Uh huh. Family. Yeah," I reply, deciding to play along.

I notice that Spectrue has gone to some cave, but I don't question it. Not my problem, after all.

[Nikiski]

I kind of notice that Spectrue called Ken'ichi to meet with him... but... I don't mind... and as I'm ready to catch fish anyways, I say to Spectrue.

"Hey, remember to come back for fish, OK? Ooh, and to visit my cave, ya?"

Of course, I don't know that later on he will be gone, at least for a while...

I dive down, seeing fish here and there. It is a good time for a large juicy salmon... uum... I see a rather large salmon. I catch it, throws it up above the water. I swim up and open my mouth as I reach the surface. I expect the fish to fall right into my mouth but it didn't. I look and find SOMEONE has my fish.

OOC~ I haven't put who "SOMEONE" is, but it's better to be a bear cub... I don't know, Koda, if you want to steal the fish from me eh? But it sounds like there is only one bear cub around...

[Kadzait]

"Well, that's great!" I reply. "Would you like to stick with us for a while, though? I mean, it's so far to go up north, wouldn't you like a breather and just relax here?" I ask. It just felt good now, to have another wolf nearby, not fleeing like the others. Of course, they all fled after hearing my history, and I decided to wait on revealing that here.

I notice that by what he's saying, he wants me to stay. I look up at the sky, thinking it over. Maybe since he isn't with a pack...maybe he's different. Maybe the same thing in a way happened to him. Plus there really is nothing up North. I mean, here's maybe my one chance to not travel alone, and throwing it away would just be stupid. Besides, I don't have to suddenly become sweet and innocent.

But I won't go down that easily. Giving him a smirk, I reply, "Well I suppose I could take a break from my plans...it couldn't hurt,"

[Kadzait]

OOC: This roleplay ROCKS!! 31 pages already!! Huzzah! Oh, and I think Ken'ichi is the only cub up here, seeing as Koda and Kenai stayed at the river.

BIC: Sila was toying with me, I could tell. I could see that she was thinking, whether or not to stay. She smirks, and says she supposses she could stay for a while.

"Great. I just met this group, but they're loads of fun! I can say, there's never a dull moment here!"

[Nikiski]

OOC~ I guess anyone can steal the fish from me then ;D

OOC: I know! Diamond can steal it. She's pretty fond of fish, hehehheheh...

OOC: Yeah, this is one of the longest I've seen. Yay!

When he said he had just met the group, I was even more curious to know where he was from, and why he was alone. But, I kept my mouth shut. He could tell me if he wanted, until then, I'd pretend not to notice.

"Uhm...great?" I reply. Sometimes 'never a dull moment' isn't a good thing...but if that was the case, then they'd be less likely to notice me. And that, itself, was good.

[Kadzait]

Sila still seemed skeptical about us. I didn't know how to make her feel comfortable around us, but I suppose that comes with time.

"So, where you from?" I ask.

[Chasca]

I gulp when Kadzait asks where I'm from. I really, really don't want to answer that, so I decide to make something up...again. But, this time, a lot more believably.

"Well, I'm from pretty far away...South of here," I reply casually. I decide that if he gets to ask, I should at least know where he's from, so I ask, "And, you?"

[Diamond]

Ug...Sila...she seemed so...I dunno...there was something about her that made me wanna scream. But I kept my cool after Spectrum told me keep it settled by nodding his eyes against mine. Rather obviously, Sila announced that I wasn't very fond of her, and I wasn't. But I said nothing, except, well...what she muttered under her breath kinda upsetted me. I heard it, and I felt a bit more of my respect for her to go down, little by little. I haven't even known her for five minuites and I already have a problem with her. What's my deal? I decided maybe I could cool off by getting something to eat, since I hadn't eaten since the night before the climb with Spec. Spectrum wanted Ken'ichi to come over to cave alone, so I didn't bother with it. I went by the water with a small tree keeping shade over the river. I see one of the other bears that had been introduced to me drop in the water. I guessed it was Nikiski. I walked slowly around the river. I thought maybe there was enough fish here that could possibly just jump in my mouth, there was so many. But then, I saw one fly right outta the water, straight up vertically. Now's my chance. I jump across the water and snatch it with my teeth gracefully and land at the other end of the embankmeant. I turn around and see a mouth wide open from the water. Then came out a confused face. Niki looked at me with the fish I bounded for. I dropped it slowly.

"Uh...I'm sorry, did you just throw this into the air? I thought it jumped. Sorry..."

I motioned my head to the fish, making sure there were no bitemarks. it was still flippin good and well, but before it could land in the water, I said "Here!" and I kicked the fish with my foot, flipping it up in the air toward Niki. He caught it. I nodded.

"Next time I won't steal your fish, promise!" I grinned real big and put up my right paw.

[Kadzait]

Sila gulps when I ask my question, and I bite my tounge, wishing I had never spoken. However, she comes back with an answer, which is south of here. Then she asks me. Fair enough.

"Oh, here and there. I haven't lived in one place or with a pack for a long time. I'm what you'd call a wanderer." I reply.

[Nikiski]

Heh, I am just, uuh, I don't know, feeling dumb with my mouth open. I look at Diamond, and I'm suprised at how good she is at catching fish too.

"Hha, nice catch Diamond!"

Everyone cracks up laughing, yeah, probably from the dumb look I had earlier on... well, Diamond kicked the fish back to me. This time I open my mouth and the fish goes right into my mouth.

"Thanks Diamond *muffled, chews*... *done eating* So, here's one for ya."

I catch a salmon and throw it at Diamond.

I nod when Kadzait admits he's a wanderer. I had thought that may have been the case...but I did feel a little guilty for not telling him my story. I push the feeling aside; it's no one's business anyway.

"Well...sometimes that's for the best," I reply. Wouldn't I know.

[Kadzait]

"That's true." I say, remembering when my pack kicked me out. It was better without them anyway. they turned their backs on me in seconds, after living with them all my life. I felt my claws tense........well, it wasn't time to dwell on the past. And especially with the reason for them banishing me. I shook my head, clearing my mind.

"So, if you don't like fish, what do you like to eat?" I ask.
