[Chasca]

I notice Kadzait's claws tense. Whatever had happened, it must have been pretty bad. But, I won't be the one to ask, because I hate it when I'm asked things I don't want to talk about.

When he asked what I liked to eat, I reply, "Uhm...deer...buffalo, mammoths, and, moose...but only if I have nothing else...you?"

[Kanoa]

~OOC~ Oh man, 2 pages while I was asleep?! Too cool...

~BIC~I came back with a salmon in my mouth, and looked around. I placed the salmon on the ground.

"Hey, whats new, guys?"

[Kadzait]

Sila replies and then asks what I like.

"Well, I do enjoy salmon, though I have been wanting to get my paws on a good deer for a while..." I trail off. Being packless does have its disadvantages.

"yah, well, that's pretty much it. Oh, I do like ground squirrels as well." I add. Those were fairly easy to catch on one's own. Kanoa came back with a salmon asking what was new.

"Nuthin' much, pal." I say, "Just Nikiski's over there's playing catch with Diamond. With fish!" I grin.

[Kanoa]

I turned to Niki and Diamond.

"Looks like they are having fun..I think"

I turned back to Sila, noticing she was trailing off.

"Hey, where are you going?"

[Chasca]

I merely nod when Kadzait says he like salmon. I never saw what was so great about it. When he tells me about wanting to get his paws on a deer for a while, I can't but to empathize. But, I need to act like I don't have the same problems, even though I do.

When he says he enjoys squirrels, I reply, "Aren't they kind of...scrawny?"

When Kanoa asks me where I'm going, I reply, "Nowhere,"

[Kadzait]

"Well, yah, really scrawny, but extremely juicy!" I lick my lips, just thinking of it. I wonder where Spectrue and Ken'ichi have got to, since they seem to have been in the cave for quite some time. I shrug, and lay down on the cool grass.

[Chasca]

I laugh at Kadzait's reply. Well, actually it's kind of a dry...barely noticable laugh, but hey, it's still a laugh.

I notice he looks like he's thinking, so I ask, "What?" When I see him lay down, I feel my muscles tense up, and my ears perk up in warning. I know there's no danger, but it's instinct for me by now. I bend my hind legs in a sitting position, but that's all.

[Kadzait]

Sila laughs, not a big guffaw or anything, but still, it was progress. She then asks me 'What?' as I lay down. I tilt my head.

"Nothing..." I say, "just laying down. Got to sleep pretty late last night....it was quite a crazy night." I chuckle.

[Chasca]

When Kadzait makes the remark about last night being crazy, I start to feel curious. It sounds like it must have been interesting, but I don't want to seem nosy.

I decide it can't actually hurt, and ask a bit hesitantly, "What happened last night?"

[Kadzait]

"Whoo.." I exhale, wondering where to begin.

"Well, you see, we were telling stories at the salmon run, thats the place just down there where all the rivers meet, and Spectrue that you met earlier left. Ken'ichi, the little cub followed him, and I followed after Ken'ichi. We climb this mountain, and it's covored in snow, and I Spectrue finds his friend Diamond, that husky over there." I nod toward her. "Except she's hurt. Bad. She's got a big gash in her side, and she's bleeding pretty badly. I sheild her from the wind, and Spectrue and Ken'ichi battle a hunter. We all went up to that cave after that, and got what sleep we could. Yet we wake up this morning to find that Diamond has been miraculously healed. Lot's of strange things seem to happen around here." I say, still befuddled by the whole experience.

[Chasca]

"Uhm...wow. No wonder," I reply dumbly when Kadzait finishes telling me. It must have been a busy night. And the fact that Diamond was somehow healed just makes it weirder.

Looking up at the sky, I reply, "It sounds like it...maybe we're not supposed to be here," Okay, so it's my paranoid side kicking in, but if what he's telling me is true, I can't help but to feel a little wary about the place.

[Kadzait]

"What, up here?" I ask, as she looks up into the sky. I begin to think about what she said, and wondered the same thing. Maybe we should be getting back to the salmon run.

[Chasca]

"No, down there," I reply sarcastically. Hey, it's my nature. I can't always be nice.

I let out a sigh, looking around. I know what I'm doing's overdoing it, but I can't help but to feel uncomfortable now. I fidget, glancing around again. It feels like something's there that I can't see, smell, or hear. And, I don't like it. "What are you thinking?" I ask, noticing for the first time that he seems to be thinking.

[Truttle]

Still brooding about what happened earlier, I sulk on over to the river to get some breakfast, but my mood totally killed my appetite. Too upset to eat, I just sat there, staring at the water, looking at the the fish. I could almost hear the salmon laughing at me.

"This is just great! I can't believe I said that. I could've just politely said 'hello' and just minded my own bussiness but noooo! I had to say 'Hello ladies!'. The way she heard it. It probably sounded like I was giving her some sort of line. Now she thinks that I'm some sort of jerk. But how else do you address girls? 'Hello Women'? Nah! sounds too weird. I just don't get it. This is what I get for trying to talk to girls."

I notice that Spectrum goes off with Ken'ichi to the cave but I'm too upset to wonder why. As I continue to sulk, I notice Nikiski in the river trying to catch some salmon. As a big salmon flies out of the water, Diamond leaps into the air catching the salmon in mid-air, leaving Nikiski with with his mouth wide open. Everyone laughs at the spectacle and I couldn't help but laugh too. Diamond appologizes to Nikiski and returns his salmon. I felt a little better after this and decided that I should just let it go.

"Maybe with time Sila and I can become friends."

I decide to try and catch a salmon.

[Kadzait]

Sila replies sarcastically, and I smirk. Then she asks me what I was thinking. Slowly, I reply.

"Just.....thinking about my....former pack. And how they...." I pause. I wasn't sure if I was entirely ready to reveal my past, I paused.
