I look behind me, seeing Kadzait catching up and he's going to pass me real soon...
As he is passing me, I notice that there is a crack in front of him where he is going to step on... This is not good, he might fall into that? I run over, push him out of the way... May be I push just a little too hard, he falls over, opening up a hole in the gound.
"Huh?"
I walk over to Kadzait, making sure I didn't bump into him too hard, then I look at the hole.
"Hhm... this looks interesting... shall we go check it out?"
OOC~ Indeed it is going to be INTERESTING eh?

Nikiski tells me he's alright, just a little shaken up. Everyone is shaken up as well as they check on Nikiski, I decided to get everyone's mind off of this accident by continuing the race.
"C'mon everyone, we'll still close to the salmon run!"
I get a head start, but I wonder if everyone may be thinking if it's a bad idea, but when I look back I see everyone racing to the salmon run behind me. I grinned as I continue to take the lead.

OOC: Have fun at the movies, Ken'ichi
BIC: As I am running to catch up with Nikiski, he suddenly bumps me aside, and I skid on the ground. I look up curiosly as he walks over. He makes sure I'm okay, then points to a hole in the ground, saying we should check it out. I'm guessing that's the reason he knocked me aside, since I probably would've tripped on it. I look at Nikiski with a wry grin, hopping up.
"Yeah, let's check it out!" I peer inside the whole, and it seems that there is smoke pouring out, and the ground is a little warmer right here....
OOC: dum dum dum.....what will happen next?!!? I am reminded of Sid in Ice Age "My feet are sweating."

The hole is narrow and deep, and I think I probably won't fit through too easily, but... I'll try...
While walking inside the hole (or tunnel?) I talk to Kadzait.
"Heh, Kadzait, what do you think is on the other side of this tunnel eh?"
Kadzait answers.
"Hhm... may be it is a pool of salmon... aaw, that will be good!"
I start to hear the sound of rushing water.
"Wait... did you heat that?"

OOC: Zazu flies in, pecking at Nikiski and Kadzait. "No, you are not to be here!" hehe! Hmm...is that really water you hear, Nikiski?.....
BIC: Nikiski starts to go in the hole, and I start to follow, the ground getting a tad bit hotter. Nikiski sees that it is lava, and we start to run down the hole which is starting to become a tunnel. We continue to run, the flow of lava not very fast, but coming on quick.
'C'mon Nikiski!" I yell, running.

But some red hot liquid appears behind us.
"Uum, I don't think we can go back! Com'on let's go!"

I had watched Nikiski being rescued. I would have helped but it looked like they could handle it. After he was okay, I saw that him and Kadzait had found some sort of hole in the ground, and were now 'checking it out'.
I roll my eyes, thinking of how reckless that is. For all they know it could lead to lava or something. Or acidic water. Or...nevermind. I decide to walk towards the hole, and lay down, listening. If they die, at least someone will hear them scream. "Idiots," I mutter.

OOC: hehe! I like your post, Chasca!
BIC: Me and Nikiski are running from the lava as fast as we can, going down the tunnel that we have no idea where it leads. We continue to run for our lives, and I see light at the end of the tunnel.
"Oh no! This is the end! I see the light at the end of the tunnel!" I shout as we keep running, but as we reach the light, we do not die, but end up in a place red and smoky. (OOC: the place in BB when Kenai and Koda try to scare each other!) BIC: I look around, then sniff.
"Hold on! I passed this way before! And I smell the salmon run! If we hurry we can make it before the others!" I say, and we run, hoping to arrive before them.

OOC: I just returned from the movies, I saw Around The World In 80 Days and it was awesome! Another good movie from Disney!
BIC: As I continued running, I see the salmon run river right ahead of me, but I trip and I go flying into the river. I rise from the river with my face covered in mud, like Koda was when I pushed him into the river a few days ago. I laugh at my own fall as I see the others catching up, but I didn't see Nikiski nor Kadzait anywhere.
"Hey guys, where's Nikiski and Kadzait?" I ask the others.

"If you're looking for them, they're probably buried under lava right now," I reply dryly to Ken'ichi's question. By then I had decided that just sitting around that hole of death was pretty boring and stupid; after all, I could have fallen in somehow, and I didn't want to join them. Especially since they would probably have made my grave reek twice as bad as the sulfur, or whatever was down there.
"They decided to be logical and explore a hole that could lead to anywhere," I say sarcastically.

As I got out of the water, cleaning my face from the mud, I hear Sila telling me that Nikiski and Kadzait met a terrible end at the hands of lava.
"What?!" I found that very hard to believe.
"Listen, lady." I called her out as I pad over to her, "I seriously doubt that, Nikiski and Kadzait aren't that reckless. I bet they just got lost."

OOC~ I think the official name for that red and smokey place is "Valley of Fire"...  Anyways... BIC~ As me and Kadzait continue to run down the tunnel, we see lights..."uh-oh, that's it, Kadzait." Thinking that it must be a pool of lava or something that we might be dead in 30 seconds or so, but instead it comes to an openning and we are outside. Kadzait claims that he knows that place."Oh, OK then, let's hurry up!" OOC~ I don't know if you still want to cross the log that Kenai crossed, you know, when Kenai had Koda in his mouth trying to cross... then Denahi comes... |

I'm almost amused by Ken'ichi's reply. Nodding, I reply, "Okay. Believe what you want..."
I pause, walking a few feet away. "But, when I left, the air down there was getting pretty warm...and besides, places like that can be pretty dangerous," I shrug.
"But, hey, only time will tell. If they aren't back in a day, then we'll know I'm right," I say with a smirk.
