Life with Koda

[Chasca]

OOC: Poetry! No, I haven't seen it yet...but it sounds good.

BIC:

Before I know it I'm in the water, going down, twisting and turning. At first, all I can think is, 'Huh?' because I'm still a bit shocked. Soon though, I start thinking, 'Hey! This is fun!'

"Ahhh! Whoohoo!" I howl at the top of my lungs, the water soaking my fur. Okay, so I'm having fun. I'll admit it. I'm not so uptight that I can't yell when I'm having fun, thank you.

[Nikiski]

I am having fun BOTH sliding down the water slide AND watching Sila having fun. Sila got up, out of the river and stands there. I walk beside her.

"Now... this is even funner!"

I shake the water off my fur as hard as I can, making the bear cubs near me wet... and so is Sila... I look at her, and she starts shaking water off her fur... ah, now I see her having more fun!

"All right! Yeah, feel like some berries for a treat?"

[Chasca]

"Berries?" I repeat. I don't eat things like that often, and I wonder if it would make me look...weird. Or just not as tough as I like to look. You know, like seeing a wolf taking the life out of a deer is one thing, now seeing a wolf eating berries. Am I the only one who's a tad disturbed by that?

But it's not like any wolves would see me...so I reply, "Hm, sure!"

[Nikiski]

As Sila agrees that we go eat berries, I bring her to a dense forest area. I spot some red and blue berries by a tree.

"There! Do you see those? They are berries... I prefer the red ones, but the blue ones are not bad too."

I grab a bunch and hand some to Sila.

"Try some, you will like them. As it is said, 'Salmon and berries, that's all a bear needs!'"

OOC~ Chasca, may be you can suggest some fun things to do? I going out with my friends now, see ya in the afternoon!

[Chasca]

OOC: Hmm...I'll try to think of some things! *thinks* Well they could always go exploring, or maybe roll down some hill, or find some cave, or jump like on something reall high and fall in water or something...or ride mammoths XD (okay, that one was COMPLETELY random) hmm...I'll keep trying. Alright, see ya! I'll try to be on then.

BIC:

"Thanks.." I reply, taking a berry and studying it. I laugh quietly. "Well...I'm not a bear," I say, but try one of the red ones anyway.

"Not bad..." I say. They are pretty good...I don't think I'd suddenly be addicted to them, but they'd be fun once in a while.

I look around, just in case any wolf suddenly sees me. I highly doubt it...but I can't help to be careful. "So what else do you do for fun?" I ask, a sad excuse to make conversation without sounding rude.

[Nikiski]

OOC~ OKOK, I got one! XD

BIC~

"Uum, I don't know if you like this, but we love exploring, you know, to find a new spot for fish or berries or something."

I say as we continue to walk deep in the forest.

"So yeah, you see this...... (continues to introduce Sila to this part of the forest, unaware of a nearby bear trap...)"

[Chasca]

OOC: Okay! Yay!

BIC:

I follow Nikiski, listening to him, when suddenly the earth...swallows him up. Oh, no wait. It was a trap.

I had spotted the obvious trap while walking, and hadn't said anything because I thought he would too. Oh well. I walk over to the hole, peering in. "How's the weather down there?" I teased, when suddenly the fur on my neck stands up. I began sniffing the area; something's definitely not right.

"Hey...wait a sec, okay?" I say, and without waiting for an answer, walk over to some bushs. That's when, right in my face, very rudely at that, a hunter jumps at me.

"Hey! You shouldn't jump a--oh no!" I yelp, as he tries to spear me.

"Uhm, Nikiski...I'm gonna be busy a few minutes!" I say, still able to be sarcastic in such a dangerous time. I am SO good! I jump at the hunter, aiming for his neck, when suddenly three more follow.

"Oh, no."

[Nikiski]

OOC~ OK!

BIC~

As we walk together, me explaining the surroundings, not aware of a bear trap (the hole type) ahead of me.

"And, oh, see that kind of tree, Koda loves to climb them..."

I hear a snap, then...

"Aah!"

I fall to the bottom of the hole... great, a trap... when Sila is still trying to be sarcastic...

"OK, this is not good... I gotta come up..."

Well, Sila is probably fighting against the hunters now... I just know it! I am trying as hard as I can to climb up, trying to get out of the trap. But it sure does take a little while for me to pull a 250 kg body up from a hole...

"Aaw!"

I fall back down to the bottom... that's not good! I gotta try again!

After like three tries, I finally pulled myself up and... ah! Four hunters! That's not good!

"Sila, run!"

[Ken'ichi]

OOC: Hey guys, I did it. I published the fanfic based on this awesome RP! I converted it to 3rd person, here's the link if you all want to read it.

I just want to thank you all for letting me do this! BTW, is Koda still with us or is he out on vacation too?

I look appalled when Nikiski tells me to run. I mean, does he think I'm that weak? Or that I'm going to give in that easily. Snarling, I reply, "I'm not going to run! I can handle this too!"

After all, I haven't survived all these years of being alone with pure luck. One of the hunters swings at me, I dodge. I growl at him, and jump at his arm.

That's when out of the corner of my eye I notice Nikiski's having trouble with the other three. Ignoring that one from now, I make a sprint to try to help. But, I'm not sure if I'll make it.

OOC: Oooh...fanfic! *rabid eyes* Must read it!

[Nikiski]

OOC~ Koda, a.k.a. Masika, Kadzait and Rebel is gone for vacation! He did say that we can move Koda along!

Now we're in a fight again, great... I just had one today!

As we fight against these four hunters... I... hm... find myself facing three... THREE HUNTERS! At the same time...

Although I think I am quite strong as a bear, but three just seems a little too much for me to handle. I don't want Sila to help me, coz she's busy with "her" hunter right now...

I stand up big, and I roar at one of the hunters. The hunter holds up a spear, I am forced to back away while still standing up, growling at the hunter... I do not realize what the other two hunters grab their spears...

I can see Sila coming to rescue, possibly seeing the two hunters making their moves. Her rescue comes a little late and the two hunters that I don't see hold their spears, piercing them into my chest.

"Uuh!"

I roar in pain and onto the ground.

[Chasca]

"Nikiski!" I yell, but I can't do anything. At first I think to maybe drag him away...but really. That's nearly impossible, and I'd just get both of us killed.

Instead I get in front of them before they can do anymore damage, their spears flying at me all at once. I'm quicker than a bear though, and manage to easily evade them, except for a few nicks.

One of the hunters misses very badly, his spear hitting a rock at an angle that snaps it. Ah well...one down, three to go. But I'm starting to get worn out, and I'm too busy dodging to attack them.

[Ken'ichi]

OOC: Glad you like the fic.

BIC: I sit back as Koda begins to tell me what he was up to while I was away. He told me he ate a few fish, bugged Kenai the whole day, he even bumped into his old friend Bucky.

"C'mon Ken'ichi! Let's explore around!" Koda suggests.

"Well I..." Before I could finish, a strong breeze of wind began to pick up. I know it's weird but it's like I can understand what the winds are saying, and something bad is going up. "Koda, I'm going to check something out, you stay here."

Before Koda could respond, I race toward the others, or at least where I was when I reached back the salmon run. I stop when I reach my destination and look around. Nothing on sight. I sniffed, nothing on scent. I closed my eyes and listened closely to my sorroundings, I could make out of some strange noise coming close of here, my eyes shot open when I heard the voice of Nikiski, sounded like he's in pain. Without wasting another second, I race where the sound came from. I stopped behind a bush and saw Sila going up against four hunters, one hunter lost his spear so make that three. I saw Nikiski on the ground behind Sila, he's been wounded! I turn to the hunters and gasped when one was about to attack. As fast as lightning, I jumped out of the bush and tackled the hunter as hard as I could, he was knocked back unto the other hunters. I stood in front of Sila with a smile of success, then turned my head to her.

"Hey guys!" I greet them.

[Chasca]

"Ouch." I say, wincing and greatful it wasn't me who was tackled.

"Hey Ken'ichi-" I pause, advancing on them imposingly. "-So what's up?"

After Ken'ichi had tackled them, their spears had gone astray, and they were severly weakened. While I fight one of them, two of the others manage to grab their spears.

"Ah, great," I mutter dryly. Won't they EVER give up?! And I don't want the stench of man on me, so I'd much rather them scamper away like the cowards they are. Ah, well. I glance at Ken'ichi, and say, "You take the two without the spears, I take the two with them."
