Life with Koda

[Nikiski]

I wake up to find so many bears (and a wolf) around me. I get off the ground, sitting up right.

"Ahh, what's up? Ouch that hurts."

I look at my chest, a deep and long scar.

"Huh?"

[Truttle]

"You just started floating up in the air. Then your wound was magically healed,"

[Chasca]

I look at Nikiski's scar. How'd that end up there? Well, all I can guess is that the scar was from his wounds, but, how did they heal that fast?

"Oh, nothing much. You just floated up in the air like a bird and then came back down...your wounds completely healed except that lovely scar you have now," I reply dryly, managing to stay calm.

"But, whatever happened saved a lot of work for us...and I didn't have to dirty my fur," I smirk, trying to shrug it off. After all, I'm not one to go, 'What the heck was that?!'

"What the heck was that?!"

Okay, so maybe I am. Can you blame me?

[Nikiski]

I listen to their response, and I look at the ground. Blood is everywhere. I guess that's from my wounds.

I suddently notice that there is something hanging from my neck. It glows blue, kinda beautiful. It is like a long... crystal... kinda like what Spectrue showed me earlier on.

"Hm... I wonder what this does."

Suddently I notice how bad Ken'ichi is hurt, I walk over. But now this magical thing happens! The crystal touches Ken'ichi's shoulder, and instantly that wound is healed!

"Ah-huh?"

All of us look suprised.

[Chasca]

Before I can contemplate on what the crystal around Nikiski's neck is or does, he walks over to Ken'ichi...and it heals his wounds?!

"Wow. I could use one of those," I say, blinking in surprise. By now I'm completely confused by everything, and don't even want to question it that much anymore. It would just probably make things more confusing. I mean, everything...well, maybe that crystal's what healed Nikiski...but how did he get it?

"Do you, maybe...remember anything? Anything at all?"

[Nikiski]

Sila asks me if I remember anything. I sit down beside Ken'ichi, and I look at the northern lights... I sigh.

"I thought that was a dream, but apparently it was real..."

I put the crystal on my paw, staring at it with emptiness.

"Well, I saw my brother Siraki, who's a spirit now. He put his paw on my chest, I guess that's where my wound was. I don't know if this is the crystal that healed me. He put this crystal around my neck, and I came back down as he waves good bye to me..."

[Chasca]

"Oh..." I nod; it makes a lot more sense now. After all, spirits do have the power to do stuff like that.

I feel a little awkward about the situation. I mean, I myself don't have anyone...close who's a spirit up there. I feel as if going into it further would make it worse...I don't know. I'm not good at this sort of thing. "It's never quite good bye...but I wonder why he gave you that crystal..."

Okay, so that itself was pretty stupid, seeing as it may have been just to heal Ken'ichi. But, still, I'm not sure.

[Nikiski]

OOC~ Hopefully I'll use that "crystal" again... I don't know... but ah well, I've already posted that post, I can't go back

BIC~
After I've told the whole story, everyone seems to be less confused, good. More questions will not do me any good, as I am feeling tired although it is still afternoon. May be I should go lie down somewhere cool. Sila makes a few comments, I nod.

"Anyways, have you had enough fun yet, Sila?"

I give a big smile, hoping that will make Sila feel better... and she should!

Seeing the two new bears, I figure that it is a good time to ask their names.

"Hi there, I'm Nikiski. I don't see you around here often, what's your name?"

[Chasca]

I smile weakly back--mainly because I'm not used to smiling--and reply, "Uhm yeah. Definitely enough..." giving a small laugh. I notice Nikiski looks tired. I don't blame him, I'd be worn out too if I had been fighting and then injured, not to mention everything else.

"You look tired. Do you need to lie down?" I ask, tilting my head.

I then remember the two bears who seem to be new, and then look at them expectantly, waiting for their names.

[Nikiski]

Sila asks me if I need to lie down...

"Yes definately, I feel like my bones are cracking!!"

After the two bears give their name, I think it is a good time to go back to the river.

"Guys, shall we go back to the river? The other bears must be wondering where we are eh?"

I smile, once again thinking about what have happened. We walk towards the river together.

[Chasca]

As we walk towards the river, I notice that Nikiski is smiling. Wow, I'm perceptive. The sunlight feels good, and I decide just to take it easy...for ten seconds. After all, that was a pretty bad fight back there.

"So, what are you smiling about?" I ask coolly, glancing at him and then at the sky.

[Nikiski]

I think Sila notices me smiling. She asks me WHY I am smiling.

"I'm just thinking about my brother... and what he did. I am glad to see him again!"

I look at Sila, she looks like what I said might have bothered her a bit. Great, now what should I say?

"You're pretty tough, huh? I guess you protected me when I was down on the ground. And, yeah, thank you."

[Chasca]

Well, of course I'm tough. I mean...I'd be dead if I wasn't. I shrug as Nikiski keeps talking, but when he thanks me, all I can go is, "Huh?"

I'm not used to being thanked., Mainly because I've never been around anyone to thank me. I glance down, and do manage to get out, "Don't mention it..." rather quietly.

Then, I have an epiphany. "You'd do the same for me..." I say, quite surprised by this. And, I actually think it's true. Especially since at the beginning of the battle, he had told me to run. Kind of insulting...but it's not like he knew.

[Nikiski]

I am quite supprised by Sila's expression. I don't know a whole lot about her past (OOC~ yes I do... XD, BIC=>)... but I can tell she is not used to being thanked by someone else...

"Well! Of course you do! You deserve a BIG THANK YOU from me! So, I think I need to give you a gift."

'Don't be silly, Nikiski... a gift? You don't even know what a wolf likes...' I keep thinking to myself, waiting for a response from Sila. I look at her eyes, trying to figure out what she likes.

[Chasca]

OOC: No you dooooon't! ...XD

BIC:

"Wha--?" Is all I can say at Nikiski's...offer...or remark...or whatever. I shake my head. "No, really...it's not a big deal, I mean, I was only doing what you'd do for me. Nothing more," I stammer, still kind of shocked. Are all bears like this? I'm not sure...but either way...he probably is doing it because he wants something, or has something planned. No one's that generous by nature.

I'm able to hide my suspiciouns though, with the same apathetic look as before. "Realy. Don't worry about it...besides, there's nothing I need..." I pause. "I mean...you were already doing something for me, and it's kind of my fault you fell into that trap in the first place..." I trail off.
