Life with Koda

[Kanoa]

I got out of the water and decided to take a short nap. But how could I if Koda and Ken'ichi are noisy (Ok ok, not that noisy). I now wanted to wander around the salmon run. I crossed over the river and entered another part of the forest.

[Nikiski]

Koda asks me about my scar, to my supprise. I thought he might come over and drag me into the water or something...

"Uuh, actually they are from two spears..."

Koda looks supprised, yeah, how did I survive from that attack? Two spears going at my chest...

"Ya, I think I could've been killed or something... but the strange thing is, after what I thought was a dream, but turns out to be real, I get up and find this wound healed and now I have this crystal looking thing around my neck... It must have some special power since it healed Ken'ichi's shoulder..."

I stand up and walk away from Sila as I continue. Koda and Ken'ichi follow. I stop and sit by the deep part of the river. Koda looks concerned.

"Don't worry buddy."

I grab Koda and give him a noggie, and I do the same to Ken'ichi.

[Ken'ichi]

(As Koda)
As Niki tells me how he got his scar, I was pretty surprised. Two spears went into his chest and severely wounded him, how could he survived something like that? I shook the thought that Niki could've died from that attack, I'm glad he's ok.

Then Niki tells me something that happened that he thought was a dream, but it really had something to do with his wound being healed. He also said that he recieved the crystal thing around his neck from that same event, and how the crystal somehow healed Ken'ichi's shoulder.

Niki stands up and heads over to us to the deep end of the river, me and Ken'ichi get out of the water and sat next to Niki. I still don't understand all of this, I'm still concerned about Niki, I wonder what he's thinking about all of this.

I look at Niki and he grabs me and gives me a noogie, he does the same to Ken'ichi. After he puts us down I grin and gesture to Ken'ichi, he grins and nods. With our combined strength, me and Ken'ichi tackle Niki into the water, we going down into the water with him.

[Nikiski]

"Whhooooooaaaa-" *SPLASH*

I am underwater now, and aparently Koda and Ken'ichi pushed me into the water, ah well, I'll get 'em... I swim up, and I see Koda and Ken'ichi near by. I grab their feet and pull down, then put them on my back. I continue to swim up and I stand on the ground.

Koda and Ken'ichi get down, shaking their fur, when I stand up right, strech, get back on my four, then shake my fur.

"Haha, nice one guys."

I join them laughing. I notice Sila has opened her eyes.

"Hey Sila, you feel like eating some fish?"

[Ken'ichi]

(As Ken'ichi)
I hear Koda asking Niki about his scar on his chest and I almost flinched, didn't expected Koda would ask that right before planning a prank. After Niki told us how he got his scar, he wandered close to the deep end, I followed Koda out of the water and sat next to Niki. I then saw Niki grabbing Koda and noogied him, he did the same to me. After he released us I saw Koda grinning, he gestured me to follow his lead, I grinned and nodded. Me and Koda both tackled Niki and threw him into the water, me and Koda jumped in with him as well. As we're underwater, I felt Niki grabbing my foot and pulled me under and on his back, I held on as he swam up with us riding on his back.

When Niki got out of the water, me and Koda jumped off his back and shook our furs dry. I looked at Koda and we started laughing. Niki congratulates us on our prank and joins our laughter. I look at Sila, who just woke up as Niki asks her if she wants some fish.

[Ken'ichi]

(As Koda)
As Niki got out of the water with me and Ken'ichi on his back, I couldn't help but to giggle. After I jumped down of Niki's back and shook my fur dry, we all burst out laughing, Niki probably didn't expect us to push him into the water as he finished telling us his story. I slowly stopped laughing as Niki called out to Sila.

"We got him good." I whispered to Ken'ichi.

[Chasca]

I yawn, stretching out stretching out my front legs and rolling my neck a little. Still groggy, I look up blearily and, rather unwittingly, reply, "Huh?"

Then after a few seconds of actually getting what Nikiski said, I nod. "Sure." After all, I'm grateful for everything he's done. I wonder if bears eat other meat. Or maybe they limit themselves. Hmm. Interesting thought.

Heh. Wow...I actually have a friend...for once.. I'm still not quite sure how to handle everything... and, a little nervous I'll look stupid, but I hope he knows I appreciate it. I stand up, walking over. "Uhm...I just wanted to let you know..." I pause, clearing my throat, which is still a little raspy. "I'm very grateful...for everything..." I finish, smiling.

"And...well...I owe you..." I finish. That sounded so corny. Well, what did I expect?

[Nikiski]

OOC~ Actually bears DO eat other meat, like MOOSE! (I guess that's why Rutt and Tuke were freaked out in the movie eh?)

BIC~

Sila slowly gets up, and she agrees to my suggestion...

"Sure."

"OK, I'll go catch some for ya!"

"Uhm...I just wanted to let you know..."

"Ya?"

"I'm very grateful...for everything..."

"Oh, you are welcome!"

"And...well...I owe you..."

"Aaw, no you owe me nothing, amigo."

I go and catch fish with Koda and Ken'ichi.

[Chasca]

OOC: Ohhhh! Well now...I know something else! XD

BIC:

I blink stupidly, and sit down, watching the three. Despite what Nikiski said, I feel as if I still owe him, and I won't go back on what I said. When the time's right...or when I can pay him back, I will.

I watch curiously as they catch fish. So that's how they get their food. Interesting. Quite a bit of similarities, but quite a bit of differences as well. And of course there's their environment, and mine.

[Ken'ichi]

I walk along with Niki and Koda to fish, I've only catched fish twice since I met these guys and I don't want to lose my touch. As we reach the deep end I noticed a salmon swimming about, he was pretty fast from the others too. Gotcha! I thought.

I jumped into the water and swam after the fish, it swam around me a few times and jumped out of the water, but I kept following it. Finally the fish decides to swim on shallow water, I stood on the shallow end and raced after it. I swiped my claws a few times at it, but it darted out of the way. I couldn't help but laugh as I tried to catch the little thing. The salmon darts into the deep end again, close to Niki and koda, I glared at the salmon and jumped right unto the salmon. While I was underwtaer, I clutched it in my paws and thrusted my claws into the salmon, making the kill. I grabbed the dead salmon in my mouth and swam up into the surface. I got out of the water, salmon in mouth, and I look at Niki and Koda, both giving me a look.

I take the salmon out of my mouth and giggle, "What? Haven't you seen a cub going after a salmon before?"

[Nikiski]

OOC~ Aah, where's Kenai? XDD

BIC~

I stand beside Koda as we try to catch some fish. I hear something come out of the water behind me. It is Ken'ichi, with a salmon in his mouth. I give him a look.

"What? Haven't you seen a cub going after a salmon before?"

"Ya, but that's a huge salmon you've got there!"

I look down underneath the water, spotting a rare type of salmon. I decide to catch that little thing...

"I'll be right back."

I dive down, glaring at the salmon, I swim as fast as I can. This salmon is smart, keeps going up and down, making it hard for me to catch. 'Hm... this ain't going to work...' I think to myself.

I look at the shallow water to my left, I grin. I swim ahead of the salmon, turn around, facing the salmon. The salmon is supprised by my action and indeed turns to the left to where the shallow waters is. I follow after the salmon, and the salmon is just flopping hopelessly. I easily grab it with my paw, and put it in my mouth. I swim back to where Koda and Ken'ichi are. Sila is looking at me, impressed by what I did.

[Chasca]

"Wow..." I mutter, impressed with what Nikiski did. It seems to take a lot more thinking than I had expected it would. A lot more planning, and strategy. It reminds me of the way I'd--or a pack--would catch their food.

Though, of course, in completely different settings. I don't think I'd do quite as well in water...heck, I can't even imagine it. I give him a small approving smile. "It's harder looking than I ever thought it to be..."

[Nikiski]

I bring the salmon I caught to Koda and Ken'ichi, and they smile and and congratulates me. I grin, and I look at the fish I caught... (now dead, of course )

After letting Ken'ichi and Koda see the fish I caught, I walk to where Sila is.

"Here you go, Sila, you deserve my first catch!"

Sila looks like she is going to say something.

[Chasca]

"Thanks..." I reply. But, I feel guilty for not doing anything. "You don't have to...uhm, I mean...it's really nice of you, but you caught it...I mean...after everything you've done, you should at least get to eat your first catch, right?" I ask, hoping he knows what I mean. I'm very grateful, but I feel as if I'm imposing.

[Kanoa]

I slowly stumbled out of the forest, looking abit sleepy...

"Shouldnt have ate too much berries..*Hic*"

(Gah, first time I see a bear hiccup)

I rolled onto the floor, still hiccup-ing and thought I could doze off abit..maybe I should rest till story-telling time..

"ZZzzz..*mumble*..m..? where...are...you.."

(hmm, should I make my voice softer now?)
