Life with Koda

[Nikiski]

"Aaw, don't worry, there's plenty of fish here... Do have that fish, I'll come back with more..."

I jump into the water, leaving the fish in front of Sila.

I dive down again, and now these dumber salmons are easier to catch. I manage to catch eight or nine in just a short while. I notice Koda and Ken'ichi is having a great time catching fish, too.

I swim up to the surface.

"Hey Koda, Ken'ichi, how's your fishing going?" *Muffled*

I grin as I say with my mouth stuff full of fish.

"Heh, great! I'm just going to eat these fish now, I'll be over there."

I point at where Sila is. They nod.

I walk back to where Sila is, dropping the fish on the ground.

"OK, let's eat then."

I eat the fish like a normal bear does, ripping the skin, ripping the meat, chew, bite and swallow. I wonder how SIla will eat the fish.

[Kanoa]

~OOC~ that last sentence kept me wondering, how DOES a wolf eat a salmon?

"Sniff..Sniff..I smell...salmon.."

I opened my eyes wide, got up and looked at the opposite side

"Wow..I bet they are having fun"

I got closer to the river and sat down. With one swipe of my hand, a salmon came flying out. Flying..flying..uh..oops, it fell to the other side of the river. Hitting Niki on the head

(In my mind)
"Gahhh, I'm dead!"

OOC: Well...we'll all find out now. Sorta...kinda...

BIC:

I blink in mild surprise when I see how much fish Nkiski has caught. "Uhm...okay..." I reply, bending down hesitantly, sniffing it out of instinct, and then biting my way through the fish ruthlessly.

It tastes...lighter. Like...cleaner than what I'm used to, but it probably takes more to be filling. I dig my claws into it in a frenzy, ripping away the meat and skin in chunks and eating it. I sure hope I'm not...scaring anyone at the moment. I pause to see if I have, until a...flying fish?--falls right on Nikiski's head. "Uhm...that must have been a long jump for it..."

[Kanoa]

~OOC~ I don't think theres flying fishes in this river..flying salmons? Yes..

[Chasca]

OOC: It was what she perceived, She didn't see Kanoa's action.

[Kanoa]

[Nikiski]

I am eating the salmons that I caught earlier on, until I feel that I am hit by something. I turn around and see a salmon flopping on the ground, and Kanoa waving at me from the other side of the river.

"Is this your fish Kanoa?" I yelled.

I pick it up and slap it with my paw. I flies to the other side and Kanoa catches it. I smile at Kanoa.

"Next time I eat it!"

I laugh and continue to enjoy my meal.

Ohhh. So that's where it came from. I'm a bit surprised by the good natured way Nikiski handles it. Well, not coming from him, but I suppose I'd usually expect whoever was hit would...I dunno. Glare and then get in a huge fight or something. That's what I'd do.

I continue eating but am careful to leave plenty for him. After all, he caught it, and I wouldn't just go and eat it all after. I only look like I'm eating very fast.

[Kanoa]

I shouted

"Thanks Niki"

"Next time I eat it!"

"Oh no you don't!"

(To myself)
"Thank goodness I don't have friends who are short-fused"

I slowly munched on salmon..ahh..tasty

[Nikiski]

I notice that Sila didn't eat too much. Aah, she's leaving some for me...

"You know what? I think this is not gonna be enough. I'll go catch some more."

Before Sila can say anything, I turn around and dive down the river to catch more fish.

Aah, the water is cool, and it helps cool off my body a little under the bright sunshine. I dive down to the bottom of the river, finding a group of salmon swiming towards me.

I catch, slap, and throw the salmons I catch. They should land just right in front of Sila. After catching another ten fish or so, I swim up to the surface, looking at Sila's expression. She is probaby amused by what I did. I walk up onto a rock, and shake the water off my fur.

"Heh, so, what do you think Sila? Feel free to have more!"

I start munching on my salmons. Yummy!

"So Sila, I think you should stick around here. I mean, yeah, it is fun alone outside, too, but it's good to have a home you belong to."

[Kanoa]

I overheard Niki talking to Sila about having a home.

"Ah yes! Sila should have a home!"

I licked the remain part of the salmon.

[Chasca]

"Wha--?" I stammer, some salmon hanging out of my mouth, which is agape. I blink, swallowing it. "I mean uhm...yeah..." I look down at the water. I'm just so used to being alone, I'm not sure if I could...fit in or whatever. "But I'm more of a trouble than anything else..." I say, remembering everything that's happened. I feel as if it's mostly my fault...and it is!

"You don't have to worry about me having a home...you've already enough for me...besides...I don't think I really belong anywhere," I say quietly.

[Ken'ichi]

(As Koda)
As I was fishing alongside Niki, I began to take note of Ken'ichi chasing after a salmon. I laughed at Ken'ichi's attempt to catch the salmon, but in the end Ken'ichi prevailed and grabbed the little devil.

"Wow, that's a big salmon Ken'ichi." I say as I look at the salmon Ken'ichi caught, "That must be the biggest one I've ever seen!"

I turn to Niki to see him swimming after a salmon, he had trouble catching the fish but he managed to make the fish swim to the shallow water, which made things easier.

"Wowee Niki, that's a big one!" I say as Niki shows us the salmon.

As Niki pads over to Sila, I turn to Ken'ichi to see him munching down on the salmon he just caught. I jump into the deep end of the river and immediatly spot a salmon right under me. I swim down to it and easily grab it with my mouth. I rise out of the water and pad to the shallow end and sit by Ken'ichi to eat my salmon.

"Hey Ken'ichi, how about a fishing contest after we finish eating these?" I challenge Ken'ichi with a grin, hoping he would accept.

[Ken'ichi]

(As Ken'ichi)
As Koda and Niki congratulate me on my catch, I lay down on the shallow end and begin my feast on my salmon. After I'm almost done with my salmon, Niki catches his own salmon, a big one too.

"Pretty good catch." I say as I see Niki's catch.

I continue munching on my fish as Niki goes to Sila and Koda goes off to catch a fish, which didn't took long I add. Koda sits besides me to eat his catch and challenges me to a fishing contest. I rip the bones out of my fish and gulp the remaining meat down my throat.

"Alright, first one to catch mora fish than the other in 2 minutes wins." I say as I wipe my mouth of any bits of fish meat around my mouth. "Ready? Go!"

I jump into the deep end immediatly, and as I swim around, I catch two fishes with my paws and one fish in my mouth. I get out of the water and place them in a pile and jump back into the water again. Three fish so far, not a bad start.

[Ken'ichi]

OOC: Roleplaying by myself as two different characters?! Boy, talk about desperate, lol.

I grin as Ken'ichi accepts my challenge. As soon as our contest starts, Ken'ichi jumps into the deep end, leaving me behind. I jump after him and see him underwater catching three fish at the same time. He's good, I thought.

I swam to the other side and started catching salmons, pile them up out of the water next to Ken'ichi's pile, jump back in and repeat. By the time 2 minutes are up, I have caught about 10 salmons. I count Ken'ichi's and I couldn't help but giggle.

"It's a tie!"

Me and Ken'ichi re-counted and really found out it's a tie and we burst out laughing.
