Life with Koda

[Truttle]

OOC: So many traps. So many posts in one day.

BIC: "I come from somewhere down South. Past the mountains, where the climate is different and the trees and the animals are different. I had grown pretty big. So I decided to start off on my own. I had heard that there was a place where many bears would gather toghether and have more fish than they could all eat. They told me that at night there would be a beutiful rainbow that would light up the sky like a magical blaze. I just had to see this. So I came here by my self. Maybe after we find your salmon run. I can find a home for myself."

I look up at the sky marveled at its beauty, wondering how beutiful the night rainbow would be. Then suddenly Nikiski says he smelled another bear. We hear the sound of a trap setting off and then a scream.

"Let help the bear!" Nikiski said.

We follow behind Nikiski toward the sound and find Spectrue looking at a cub caught in a trap. Nikiski sets him free and catches him befor he hits the ground. I sighed, relieved that the cub wasn't hurt.

[Truttle]

Nikiski asked the cub who he was. The cub says his name is Kinichi. Nikiski gets him to join us. After that whole ordeal we all go back to sleep.

OOC:*is now refreshed and has eaten* *sigh* man...that was good hot dogs! ;D

BiC: Seeing the cub be thrown in the sky was quite funny, as I'd been the same way. I wondered if the humans ever came up with anything new...I knew I wasn't going to be the one to find out.

I walked near where Niki caught Ken'ichi. I heard him say his name. I motioned my paw towards him and told him my name. Everyone looked at me strangley.. Crap, I thought. I forgot bears don't hand shake. So I decided that now would be a great time to make up a riducously weird concept.

"So, uh...Nobody ever heard of the paw slap? Yea? No?"

They were staring at me, looking at me like I was crazy. I pulled my paw back slowly.

"Guess...not..huh....Um...I'll teach it to you all later in the morning...Heh...Look, don't mind me, I'm new around these parts....I've never even fished, I'm so strange..."

Talking about how strange I was wasn't exactly a good idea, I thought. Noone said anything...

"Ok,....then.."

Niki told us we need to get some sleep. I happily agreed to that, yawned, and looked for my spot. But what I found was the new cub already past asleep in my spot. I blinked, and looked for a different spot. But there wasn't much room. I went ahead and walked out of the cave and found a comfy spot under the stars. I laid down, and slept. Hopefully the others wouldn't mind me sleeping secluded away from them. I wasn't used to the conditions of sleeping near others...Koda and Kenai were in their spot, snoring, Niki was curled up in the middle, while Truttle found himself a spot near the edge of the entrance. I went to sleep better on the ground anyway, and a wistful dream of breaking facets and rainbows and dark skys took a hold of me.

[Ken'ichi]

Everyone introduced themselves, but the one I found kinda interesting was Spectrue, it was like if he was trying to act human. I laughed on the inside, but I stayed quiet and calm on the outside. Nikiski told us to go asleep, we have a long journey tomorrow. But...I don't want to...not after that nightmare I just had...but at least I got others with me, even thought I haven't known them very long.

I followed them to their cave and each of them took a spot to sleep. I walked to a spot close to the cave wall, it also had a nice distance from the others, I laid down and rested my head on my paws. I looked at each bear, I figure I could trust them, but I'm not so sure of that.

I sighed, I better get some rest. I closed my eyes, thinking of tomorrow. Today was a bad day for me, but I know tomorrow it'll be better.

OOC: BTW. Ken'ichi, my name for the RP is Spectrue, with an "e",just to let you know ;D Why? Because, Spectrum sounded weird for a bear.

[Nikiski]

OOC~ I kinda think the cubs should wake up before us "bigger" bears...

[Ken'ichi]

OOC: If you want the cubs to wake up first, then I guess I'll go first.

BIC: I lazily opened my eyes, closing and opening them as I looked around. Spectrue, Truttle and Nikiski were asleep along with another bear who was in the cave first, but I couldn't see the cub anywhere. I slowly got up and quietly walked outside, but I closed my eyes half-way when the sun's rays hit down on me. As soon as my eyes adjusted to the new day's sun-rays, I walked toward the river to have a little drink. After I took a few sips I looked at my reflection on the river, I stared at my scar clearly visible in my reflection as I started remembering that horrible day again, a memory I always want to forget.

My thoughts were quickly interrupted when I saw a fish swim by in the clear crystal water. Now that I see this fish, I'm hungry. As quick as lightning, I dipped my head into the water and rose out with a fish in my mouth. Not bad, I ain't getting so rusty at fishing after all. I walked under the shadow of a tree to cool down from the sun's morning rays and began eating my breakfast, it was very early, so I practically have the whole place to myself...maybe not, I stopped eating when I heard some rusttling in the bushes, I looked where the rusttling came from, nothing. Maybe it's that cub trying to sneak up on me. I shrugged it off and continued to eat my fish, the others should wake up soon anyway.

[Koda]

OOC: Sorry guys, I'm quite behind! I was at Harry Potter 3 this morning!! huzzah, it ruled! *hugs Buckbeak!*

BIC: As we were sitting and listening to Truttle's story, we hear the plea of another bear, and we walk into the forrest to see a bear cub my size hanging from the tree. After we get him down, I go introduce myself.

"Hi! I'm Koda! Wow, it'll be fun having another cub around!" I'm so excited I hop all the way back to the cave, where everyone decides to go back to sleep. But who can sleep now? As they all lay down, I head outside again, to try my paw at night fishing. However, it's not really night anymore, as the sun is starting to peek over the mountain. I hear Ken'ichi padding out, and I decide to have a little fun with my new friend. I scurry into the bushes and he goes to the water. Yet as I see him in the sun, I see a scar on his face, and as he looks into the water quite sadly, I feel I shouldn't scare him. I come out of the bushes slowly instead.

"Hi, Ken'ichi!" I call, and go sit by the little black and silver cub. "Should we....wake the others?" I ask with a sly grin!

[Ken'ichi]

I finished eating my fish and decided to go back to the river to drink more water, and yet I stop to look at my reflection. Soon after that I hear Koda calling my name, I slowly turned to face him. With his usual friendly and carefree face he asks me if I want to wake the others. It's been a while since I hanged around another cub, I started thinking about what he asked me, and a mischevious idea came to my mind. I grinned maliciously at the cub as the idea began to unfold in my mind.

"I dunno..." I slowly walked around the unsuspecting cub. "I mean, they'll wake up soon, and we have the place practically to ourselves so why don't we take this chance and...a little fun?"

Without any warning, I pushed Koda into the river. The cub rose from the water and I couldn't help but laugh, half of his face was covered in mud.

[Spectrum]

OOC: So they decide to have the place to themselves, hm? I'm sure, but I'm not quite of age yet to be one sleeping on the ground for hours like the others ;D So, let's see if they can handle this.... >=)

BiC: I felt the warmth from the sun stroke my fur, as I laid there in the open, letting the light bake my body as I slept. I felt like I hadn't before when waking up. It seemed to me that bears have a lot of good things that come to them, even when they wake up. It's like my whole body was refreshed just from opening my eyelids. But as I opened them, I heard chit-chat of the two cubs. They were speaking of something, then they were pondering about a few things. I eyed them closely and smirked. They think they're gunna give the wake up call on me, they've got something else coming. I got up very slowly as not to draw any attention and I saw Ken'ichi push Koda in the water. I watched the frantic face of Koda's from the nearby bushes as he spewed water and mud from being dunked in. I smiled. Seemed they were having their fun. I walked very catiously to a nearby tree and sped off at a tremendous speed toward the next nearer to where they were. I may be a bear, but I have lightning speed whatever the cause. They didn't hear me. I climbed up the tree I was by and slowly but surely inched myself up, higher and higher. I climbed on a strong and sturdy gnarled limb and watched the cubs from below. I knew I was bigger than before I was a bear, but I was pretty small compared to Kenai and the others.

"This'll be good..." I wispered to myself in the dark shadows of the tree.

I awaited whatever else they were gunna do, unseen by my stealth. Eyeing the two play around I readied myself of my plan... Koda pads out of the water. That's it! I thought, and I jumped up from the branch and landed in a body slam on the water, making a huge splash all over the cubs.

"Hya!"

This should really give them a shock, I thought. Heheh....

[Ken'ichi]

I was still laughing at Koda's expression when he rose up from the water with half of his face in mud, I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. As Koda got out of the water, I slowly stopped laughing, whiping tears from my eyes that has formed from my laughs. But as soon as Koda got out of the water, something from above came splashing down the river and water came splashing down on us. After the huge splash on us I shook my head dry and looked at where the thing landed, there I saw Spectrue looking at us with a grin.

"So it's going to be that way..." I said with a grin, "Payback time!"

I jumped unto Spectrue and playfuly fought with him, splashing water at each other. Sure he might be bigger than me, but I bet he's got a heart of a cub like us. To tell you the turth, I never had this much fun.

[Nikiski]

OOC~ It was modified to make it fit in better

I was in the middle of my dream, when I heard Koda waking me up.

I took a peek, saw Koda and Ken'ichi, then cloed my eyes. After that, All I heard was:

"Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up..."

"Okay okay I'm up I'm up..."

I yawned and stretched.

"Aarrrrrr."

What a big bear yawn. I regained my focus.

"Hm, so, yeah. You guys all up?"

Koda pointed at the still sleeping Kenai and Truttle. He said we need to help Spec to find something...

"Ahh. Sure..."

Koda went off before I could finish. I stretched once more, then slowly walked towards the forest, trying to find that thing.

[Spectrum]

OOC: My post here is meant to come BEFORE Nikiski's.

BiC:With a grin, I looked at Ken'ichi. He had devilish look on his face. I knew what was going to happen, then I prepared myself the same look as he jumped on top of me and started wrestlin with me. I rolled him over into the water and out on the bank and he dragged me me onto the ground and teethed at my maine. We fumbled all over, and Koda even joined in. I suddenly heard a faint jingle sound from the water, but I paid none attention to it...

"Ha,ha,ha,ha!" I picked up Ken'ichi and sat him on his head. He backflipped and jumped at me, making me flip over myself and roll over Koda. I knocked Koda back with my paw on accident, and sure enough he came right for me and knocked me on my side. Soon, we all stopped and panted, looking at the morning sky above us, our sides heaving for oxygen.

"Phew... That was great. I haven't wrestled around that much since I paid a visit to my little nieces. They were always so ruff due to my sister, heh."

I scratched my maine and rolled my neck. Funny, I thought. Where is it? I padded along my neck and found my prism was gone!

"Ewhere is-is it?!" I looked frantically about for my prism to see if it may have fallen on the ground. I didn't want to lose it. I couldn't find anything.

"Oh great, this stinks...Look, guys, you have to help my find my prism. Koda, you know what it looks like, right?"

Koda nodded his head and I looked at Ken'ichi.

"See, it's this shiny, see-through rock, right, and it's got a dark blue lace holding it for a necklace. I really need it back, it's...it's very important to me. I can look for it myself, but I would really appreciate it if you would help me find it. I had it last night and when I woke up..."

I looked around catiously in the bushes and near the trees and by the cave. Nothing. I saw Koda and Ken'ichi go inside the cave beside Niki and start to stir him up. Good, the more bears to help find it, the easier it'll be. I walked up to Niki.

"Niki, I really need you and the cubs help. I need to find my prism thing. If you go along with them and split up a bit maybe we'll find it before Truttle and Kenai wake up. Can you help?"

I walked back toward other places I may have missed. I hoped they would find it. That was the only real connection between what has happened to me recently, and if I didn't have it then I would just be a bear forever.

OOC2: Either Niki, Koda, or Ken'ichi has to find my prism in the river, that's where it's supposed to have dropped. You should see it sparkle in the light of the blue water...

OOC ~ Hay, sorry i've been gone for so long. I've head so much work to do, and now I have to start work on music mixes for an upcomming party I've been asked to Dj. So - can some one do me a big favor in my 'temporary leave of absence'?

Please, take over my part of Kenai.
