Life with Koda

[Ken'ichi]

I never enjoyed a morning like today, it was pretty fun to wrestle with Koda and Spectrue. But times comes when playing has its consequences. Spectrue told me about a shiny rock he wears on his head, he said he lost it. So me and Koda went to the cave and woke up Nikiski, we told her about Spectrue's rock being missing.

"Hey Koda. I'm going ahead to look for Spectrue's rock, you stay with Nikiski and wake up the others."

I ran outside and to the river, I looked around where Spectrue jumped us. Maybe he dropped it when he climbed the tree. I walked toward where the tree is, but I found nothing. I climbed the tree, nothing there neither. I slid down the tree and looked around the bushes sorrounding the tree, nothing.

"Oh man, where could it be?" I said to myself as I kept looking through the area.

[Koda]

Ken'ichi suggests we have some play time while the big bears continue to sleep, then suddenly he pushes me into the water. I surface, covered in mud and water, laughing my head off. I get out of the water to give him his 'bath', when a huge tidal wave of water gets us both, and after wiping the water from my eyes I notice Spectrue in the water laughing. Ken'ichi cries out, "Payback Time!" and attacks Specture, wrestling with him. I was not about to be left out, and so I rushed in as well, wrestling in the water with Ken'ichi and Spectrue. It was so much fun, and when we finally stopped, we were soaking wet and laughing hard. Then Spectrue went serious, and said he had lost his prism. I understood that it was very important to him, figuring it was almost the same as Kenai's totem, and I agreeed to help look for it. I pattered along the edge of the river, sniffing and searching. I decide to go a little further before turning around and trying another place, when I see something glitter in the light. A little bird had landed and was pecking at the thing, probably dazzled by its shinyness. I growl at the bird and it takes off immediatly. I pad over and notice that it was Spectrue's prism, half in the mud. I scoop up the prism in my mouth, holding it by the cord, and pad back to where Spectrue and Ken'ichi were searching.

"S'alright" I call, kind've muffled like with the cord in my mouth, "'S right here!" I march over to Spectrue and set it in his paw.

[Ken'ichi]

I had been searching for that rock for a while now, I searched every place I can think of. Then I heard Koda crying that he found the prysm, I returned to see Spectrue giving us his thanks for helping him look for his prism.

[Spectrum]

I frantically searched around more and more, and when I met Ken'ichi, he shrugs in a way. I guessed he had no luck. I looked over solemnly and see Koda padding over with a glittering piece in his mouth. My eyes widen and I grab the prism from his mouth and try to hang it around my neck again. after wiping the mud from it. I take Koda and hug him tight.

"Oh, thank you so much Koda! I'm so lucky that you found it!"

I released my grip and let Koda breath.

"Thank you both for helping me...This is very precious to me...If only I'd found my othe-"

I stopped short in my excitement and gasped...I forgot, I told myself I wasn't going to tell them about that.. They looked at me concerned and I sighed.

"I mean....Thanks....so much...Haa...If I could ever repay you..."

And then an idea hit me. I saw Niki walk up and down, looking around, probably for the prism Koda already found. I called to him.

"Hey, Niki, it's alright, Koda found my prism!"

I dangled it up where he could see it. He sighed with relief and padded over.

"Hey, why don't you wake up Truttle. And Kenai, if he can wake up, heh. I've got something to show all you guys..."

I turned to Koda and Ken'ichi and smiled. They knew I had something up my sleeve-....er....fur.. I awaited for Niki's return.

[Nikiski]

Waken up by the cubs, I was told that Spectrue lost his pri... what was that? prisa? pizza? pi... ah, whatever that was. I started looking for it.

Mind you it wasn't fun, finding something you've never seen before. I was extremely cautious about everything that is kind of shining, or transparent, or blue...

Spectrue called me. Hearing him saying that he's found it, I walked over, thinking how that might pri..sm thing might look like.

The other two bears were also awake now. They still had sleepy eyes from what I saw.

"Uuh, Spectrue, what's that you're holding up there? Is that the... er... prisre? pizza? p... whatever?"

Spectrue chuckled.

[Spectrum]

"It's a prism! Pri....-Zem.... Prism! Anyways, go on and wake the other two lazy bears, I need to show you guys something while I can before we start again on our venture to the...Salmon...Run? Is that right? Yea."

I stared at the sky for a moment and saw Niki go to awaken the others.

OOC: I need to get off for tonight, so whoever wants to post until I make my post about my little thing I wanna show everyone, you'll have to wait til the morning. Later everyone...v_v...

[Ken'ichi]

I looked at Spectrue called out Niki, telling him that Koda found his prism. I don't get what's so important about the prism, it's just a rock, but seeing how precious it is for Spectrue, I better not ask. Spectrue told Niki to wake up the others, and also said he wants to show us something when everyone is together. Seeing Spectrue as he held his prism brought me back memories about my good ol' days...unfortunately, I don't have many good memories.

I sighed and walked to the river's edge, I marveled at the beauty sorrounding the place, but I dropped my sight only to look at my reflection, I eyed my scar reflecting in the water. Spectrue is going to tell us something that he probably kept secret, so should I tell them about my scar?

[Nikiski]

Spec asked me to wake up the other two bears. So I did. I came back out and walked towards where Spec was. I noticed Ken'ichi by the riverbank. He looked like he was thinking of something and I decided not to bother him at the moment. I listened to Spec's explanation silently.

[Truttle]

I was sleeping soundly when I was woken up to find Nikiski. He then woke up Kenai. He told us to get up. He said that Spectrue had something to tell us. I looked around and saw that only Kenai and I were the only ones still in the cave. We followed him and found the others. We waited to see what Spectrue had to say.

[Ken'ichi]

I kept staring at my reflection, I don't know what to think of me anymore. Everytime I look at my reflection I stare at my horrible scar, and when I'm not looking at my scar I'm playing around others like if nothing has ever happened. It's like I change personalities. I finally managed to turned my back on the river and finally resting my eyes from the river's reflection. I sighed as I walked back to the others, I sat close to Koda and I saw Truttle, Niki and the other bear coming out of the cave. And from the corner of my eye I could see Koda looking at me with a worried expression in his face.

[Spectrum]

I looked at the others and saw the curiose expressions in everyone's face. Seemed everyone was waiting for what I was going to explain. I felt my smile go away. It was terrible how you felt when you were gunna devulge a secret to so many others around you. I began to get nervous. When everyone settled down and had their eyes fixed upon me, I sighed and began my explanation...

"Well...You guys, I'm going to tell you half of what I'm going to need to tell you, then the other half we'll have to save til the salmon...run...I have to have something to talk about while we're there.."

Everyone eyed me suspiciously. The pressure of what I was gunna say rose.

"You see...I'm sorry for awaking everyone for this silly prism....It's one of the many things that connects my life together right now... It's like a certain burden that cannot be lifted from my shoulders til a later time. This prism is among many other prisms that I used to own before...before I was here.. You see, I never intended on meeting any other bears, or coming across the wilderness areas of the north. I've always hung out with...others who are different from me in a few ways. Anyway, the prisms...Ah...This is one of the main...elemental ones, the nature prism. It's called that for it's aura of green tinted light it posseses when shown among light from the sun. It may make rainbows like any other prism, but it's got a different purpose, and it reflects differently from the other ones. This is 1 of 7 prisms that I owned before. This is the pear shaped prism of the bunch. It's small but it poses many attributes. I don't know if you'd understand this just yet, but I will tell you more later. As far as the other prisms, I will need to explain them later too."

Everyone was deeply interested in what I had to say. I was glad they listened.

"I will take any questions you have that may pertain to what I told you just now..."

I held out the prism from my maine and looked at it, carefully examining it's many facets.

OOC: In case anyone wants to know, yes, I have a rather small collection of three prisms. Currently I have the ball prism, comet prism, and icicle prism. My favorite is the comet ^_^....Yes, I'm nuts about prisms, sorry >_>;

[Truttle]

I couldn't comprehend what Spectrue just told us. It was to much for me. I was speechless, yet I had so many questions running through my mind. I looked to the others to see if they had anything to say.

[Spectrum]

OOC: We really need a Kenai before we go on. If anybody can, can they take the role of two? I can't, I have a hard enough time pushing the emotions and actions of Spectrue...

I'll try to find someone who can...

[Koda]

OOC: Hmm...I could try to be Kenai for this one. I could give it a go if you like?

BIC: After returning the prism to Spectrue, he gives me a great hug that nearly smothers me. He lets me go and I can tell he's quite pleased to have his prism back. He tells us he has something to tell everybody, and I go up to get my big brother. I pull him down to where Spectrue then tells us all about his different prisms. It is fasinating, but I'm not sure if I understand it all, still remembering last night when his prism glowed green. I shrug my shoulders and turn to Kenai.

"Is that kinda like your totem, Kenai?" I ask him quietly, wondering if Spectrue could be hiding a secret as big as Kenai's.

[Koda]

OOC: Here I go, bein' Kenai!

BIC: My eyes slowly opened as I heard the chattering of the bears, and I put my large paw over my ears. Couldn't they just keep it down? I had no desire to get up, and besides, I had been having a great dream about back before....back when I was.....well....it didn't matter now. All that mattered is I wanted some sleep, and these bears seemed to have been up all night. Koda came rushing up, patting my nose and paws, trying to get me up, and I figured resistance was futile. I slowly heaved my body upright, and blinked away what remained of the sleep in my eyes. I slowly lumbered after Koda, wondering what could be so important as to have woken me up. We sit down and Spectrue then starts to tell us about his many prisms, and I wonder why I was woken up for this. Koda turns to me, asking if it's like my totem. My eyes grow wide and I put my paw around his mouth.

"You aren't to talk about that, remember?" I whisper quite harshly, not wanting my past to be revealed. Still, Koda did just ask a simple question, and it seemd the others were to enamored over Spectrue's prisms to hear, so I whispered in Koda's ear.

"Yes, I suppose it is like my totem, though I don't know how." I sit back up.
