Life with Koda

[Ken'ichi]

OOC: Looks like we're too near to a human village

BIC: Truttle and Koda appeared a little after the spear hit the ground. Koda cried that we should get out of here, Niki told us the same. But I wouldn't budge, this fight against the hunters has me traumatized, everything just looked so precise from what happened to me a few years ago. A few moments later, Spectrue joined in to help, he looked at me with a look...I caught the message. It took me a lot of will-power, but I managed to run away from there along with Truttle and Koda. I wanted to stay back there to help, this is happening because of me, if I didn't seperated from them, this wouldn't have happened. I stopped and looked back, giving second thoughts at just running away, but Koda and Truttle cried to me to keep going. I turned to the others and gasped when a hunter jumped from the bushes with his spear, I won't let this happen...not again. I ran through Koda and Truttle and stood between the hunter and my friends.

"You guys go! Run!"

Koda yelled at me to forget about this hunter and to run another direction, but I didn't listened. Truttle on the other hand, told me that I was just a cub and I should run away with Koda, that he'll handle this hunter. That was the reason I lost them...I'll stand and fight now. I may be just a cub, but I'm going to protect my friends.

"No!" I replied, "This one is mine!"

The hunter didn't see me as much as a threat, he was more interested in Truttle. The hunter just walked past me...big mistake. I ran at the hunter and tackled him to the ground.

"What are you waiting for?!" I shouted to Truttle and Koda, "C'mon, move it!"

The hunter threw me off of him and I slammed into a tree, the wind knocked out of me. I recovered fast to see the hunter charging at me with his spear, I got out of the way and the spear was thrusted into the tree, but he managed to take it out. He swung his spear a few times at me, but I dodged them by jumping, ducking and moving left and right. I kept backing up, dodging the swings, but I almost fell backwards. I resisted the gravity's pull and moved a little forward and looked back, I'm pinned at the edge of a cliff, the hunter fairly far from me.

"Uh-oh..."

I turned my head back to the hunter, but in mid-way I felt the spear flying past my head, cutting my fore-head. I yelped in pain and rubbed my fore-head with my paw. I looked back at the hunter and saw him taking out his knife, walking to me. I looked at the hunter, growling lowly as he came closer. Next thing I knew the hunter went flying over me and fell off the cliff, but he grabbed me and I went down the cliff with him. I managed to grab the edge of the cliff with one of my paws, lucky for me the hunter let me go.

"Nice trip..." I whispered to myself, thinking the hunter might've slipped on a rock or something.

I pulled myself up half-way, I was too tired to pull myself the rest of the way, then I felt someone pulling me up. I looked who was the one who pulled me up and what do you know, it was Truttle. I guess Truttle tackled the hunter to save me.

[Spectrum]

OOC: I'm outside for a few, I need a break from the comp....

[Nikiski]

OOC~ Hm... quite a lot of action there huh, BB2 can be an action movie too ;D

BIC~

It looked like everybody joined the fight. Kenai and I saw Spectrue fight the hunter. I saw Ken'ichi sitting by a tree, but I could not find Truttle and Koda. Great, where are they? Suddently Spectrue's prism emitted some light, and the hunder fell off the edge of a small cliff. I stood there, amazed at what I just saw.

Kenai saw Koda and Truttle. Good, now all of us were OK.

"So OK guys... *coughs* shall *coughs again* we *coughs even hearder* go?"

For some reason I was coughing badly.

[Spectrum]

I found myself getting rid of my sobs, releasing my tears away and getting back up. I felt pain in my arm, wincing as I slowly put my self back up on fours. I looked at Niki, thinking horrid thoughts. I'd just battled a bunch of humans. I scanned the surroundings and saw Ken'ichi over by Truttle. I was glad he was safe...I looked back at Kenai, his mouth open from the jaw-breaking action. It was getting too quiet. Blinking hard, I listened to Niki cough between what I wouldn't call a sentance, but more of a mumble.

"What's...what's wrong with you, Niki?" He kept coughing. I wondered what was wrong now? Passing my eyes over to the river, I told Kenai,

"Help Niki get a drink, he seems terribly parched or something. Maybe he'll feel better." But I felt something else was wrong with him. Had he swallowed something from all the action? I didn't understand. I wanted someone to kick me in the head to get rid of the throbbing pain I kept feeling. I didn't understand it. I looked at my arm again, and saw it had stopped bleeding, and only seemed to look somewhat like a new scar, with bloodstained a bit around the edges on my silver fur. Breathing harshly, I said

"I guess we can go now... I don't want to talk about this right now..."

I stuffed my prism in my maine once again. Why would of all times would it react like that? It had saved my life, but...I didn't know what was going on, but for sure, I was going to find out after our visit to the salmon run and seeing the lights touch the earth...I hoped something happy would happen, I was tired of the gloomliness I kept feeling from the same beating heart of Ken'ichi. I had to figure out if he was going to be ok.

"Ken'ichi...You really gave everyone a scare..." I walked slowly over to him.

"I'm glad your alive though..." My eyes fell upon his smothered face, seeing the red marks on his forehead, I sighed.

"I see you had a close encounter too....I told you to move it, but...Ahhh, nevermind...I'm glad you helped though, for your own good intentions.."

I felt like running somewhere. I came of with an idea.

"How about I run ahead in the direction we were going and see if any more hunters are around, huh? And it'd be wise if you stay far behind, just in case, I'll be right back..."

Whether or not they excepted my offer, I ran off towards where were going, to have a little alone time. Any excuse to clear my thoughts would be great. As I got deeper into the path, I settled down, sniffed around, smelling no scent of hunters or humans around, and burried my face into my arms, letting out any excess anger, frustration, or sadness by my very own tear ducts in my eyes...

A few moments later, I returned to them, and awaited whatever else they planned to do.

"I'm ready when you guys are..."

[Nikiski]

I nodded, still coughing. Kenai helped me to get some water to drink. I felt this pain on my right...

"Aww..." *more coughing*

I had this burning sensation in my lower ribs.

"That hurts... *coughs*"

We were by the river. I took a sip of water. Felt a little better now, we walked back to where everybody else were.

[Ken'ichi]

OOC: Modified to fit into the roleplay.

BIC: After Truttle helped me in getting back up, I recieved quite a scolding from Truttle. I stayed quiet, as not to agitate Truttle even more than he already is. After that we returned to the others, but I could feel something wet on my face, I saw a puddle of water next to me, so I decided to check. I thought it was just tears, I still had small urges to cry, big surprise I was when it was blood, my whole face was practically covered in my own blood. It seems I was really wounded when that spear almost decimated my face. I didn't wanted the others to be worried about that, so with my paw I rubbed my face, cleaning it of any blood on my face.

"Ken'ichi...You really gave everyone a scare..." I heard Spectrue telling me. "I'm glad your alive though..."

"I'm sorry, I was just...mad I guess..." I said as I turned to Spectrue.

I saw Spectrue's eyes glance at my wound on my forehead. Next thing he said had some worried tone, he paused mid-sentence at times. He suggested he should go ahead and look for any hunters and he walked ahead. I sighed, I almost got everyone killed. I looked at Niki and saw him heading to the river with Kenai, probably to get a drink of water. I felt a drop of blood going down my face, I placed my paw on my forehead, retracted it and looked at it, the wound was still bleeding...pretty badly.

[Truttle]

I went after Nikiski but I noticed Koda was following me. I was going to tell him to go back but I figured he wouldn't listen to me anyway. When I found Kenichi fighting off the hunters. He told me to get Koda and Kenichi to safety. I tried lead them away but Kenichi stayed put. Then Spectrue showed up to help. He looked at Kenichi to go and he ran with me and Koda. But before we could get far another hunter with a spear jump out of the bushes.

"I'll handle this hunter! You guys run!"

I prepared myself to fight the hunter, but Kenichi jump on the hunter from behind making the hunter come after him with a knife. The hunter was backing him into a cliff.

"No!!! The hunter will kill him!!!

I charged the hunter and swung my paw at the unsuspecting hunter while he had his back turned. The hunter went flying over the cliff but he pulled Kenichi with him.

"Kenichi!!!"

I ran to the edge of the cliff. Luckily, Kenichi was hanging on the edge. I quickly pulled him up by the maine in my mouth. When I put him down I looked back and I saw the others had scared off the other hunters. Then I looked at Kenichi.

"Are you crazy! You shouldn't try to take on a hunter. Your just a cub. Humans are the most dangerous creatures in the forest. Even the adult bears stay away from them. But at least your still alive, just don't do that again."

I went back to the others. Glad we were all alive. Nikisiki said we should get going but he was coughing badly. I wondered if he was wounded from fighting the hunters. He went with Kenai to get something to drink. Then Spectrue had to go off somewhere to be alone for a while. I just sighed.

"I guess this was a bit too much for us."

[Spectrum]

"Kenichi said we should get going but he was coughing badly"
I thought it was Niki who was coughing? or is Ken'ichi too?
I"m too confoosed

[Ken'ichi]

OOC: It's Niki, I think he got confused, lol

[Truttle]

OOC: OOPS! Sorry about that! I'll fix it in a moment.

[Koda]

OOC: Well, waddaya know, I'm back!

BIC: After running back, there was a tremendous battle, and I realized I had outrun Ken'ichi and Truttle, and I looked around nervously for them. In time, we all found each other again, alive, yet badly scared and some wounded. Ken'ichi had a cut on his head, and I padded over to him as Spectrue ran into the forest to check for more hunters. Kenai saw me and ran over, giving me a big hug, nearly squeezing my breath out. After he let me down, saying how glad he was I was okay, I tackled him, glad he was okay. Then I went over to Ken'ichi.

"That cut doesn't look so good, Ken'ichi...." I said, worriedly. "How 'bout we put some water on it?" I ask, trying to lead him over to the water. As we walk, I whisper to him, "Wow, you were brave, you took on a hunter by yourself?"

[Koda]

Kenai:

I was glad that the hunters were defeated, and I ran over to Koda.

"I'm so glad you're okay!" I said, giving him a big bear hug. I let him go and Koda tackled me, saying the same. I don't know what I would've done if anything had happend to him. I shook off the fact that something could have, and I slumped down on the ground, my heart still beating rapidly. I watched as Koda was tending to Ken'ichi's wound. My thoughts rushed back to the day I had gone after the bear.....Koda's mother, and I wondered if these hunters had the same intentions. I had long since seen the error of my ways, but I still had a large hole in my heart from what I had done. I shook it off, I had sworn to take care of Koda, no matter what, and nothing was going to stop me. Sighing, I looked around at everybody, and asked to no one in particular:

"Are you all alright?"

[Nikiski]

Kenai and I padded back. I sat down with my back again the trunk of a tree, trying to recover from the exhastion from the fight...

I looked at the two cubs went to the river. I was grateful that all of us were still alive, still happy together. Things could have been worse.

"Kenai, you know, it could have been worse..."

Kenai agreed.

"I'm glad that we're all here OK..."

Spectrue came back after going ahead to see if there were any hunters around. He was ready to go.

"Ah yeah, we can't sit here forever! We still have salmons waiting for us to eat!"

[Ken'ichi]

I saw Koda walking toward me, but he was grabbed and hugged by Kenai. I'm glad those two are ok, it makes my stupid act of taking on that hunter seem worth it. After they hugged Koda walked to me, he looked at my wound on my fore-head and suggested to put some water on it. Naturally I didn't cared about my wound, I shrugged and followed the cub to the river. Not long after, Koda whispered to me about how brave I was to take on a hunter by myself.

"Ah it was nothing, I was just trying to protect my friends, that's all."

I just didn't wanted for it to happen again...

[Spectrum]

"I don't mean to hurry or anything, but, if we don't get going, it'll be sunset before we know it again."

I looked at the sun rising higher in the sky. It must be mid noon. I looked again at Ken'ichi, hoping that he may be alright.

"You feeling better guys? I'm glad we're all ok...." I looked at the ground and stood straight. I hoped we wouldn't have to deal with this again, but I didn't my hopes up too much...
